WARNING: This story contains content that is graphic in nature.LAND O' LAKES, Fla. -- A Pasco County, Florida deputy has been fired after he was arrested for touching a woman against her will and placing semen on her. Joseph Mercado, 25, has been charged with battery. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has confirmed Mercado was terminated after he was arrested on February 28. Mercado and the victim were "NOT involved in an ongoing dating relationship at the time of this incident," according to the arrest affidavit.On February 15, 2018, while Mercado was off-duty, he arrived at the victim's home and told the victim they needed to discuss a "serious incident" that he witnessed. The victim met Mercado outside in the driveway and repeatedly asked him to leave. According to arrest documents, Mercado masturbated in front of the woman. She repeatedly told him to leave. Mercado then used his finger to place semen on the victim's breast, above the neckline of her shirt and then attempted to place it on the victim's lips, prior to her pulling away, according to the arrest affidavit. The victim continued to ask Mercado to leave and she went into her home until he left the property.Mercado was arrested on February 28th without incident.The Sheriff released a statement about the incident: "The Pasco Sheriff's Office ensures discipline is paramount in our organization. (KGTV) - A North County man is being charged in the attempted murder of his brother, San Diego County Sheriff's Department announced.SDSO deputies said 19-year-old Juan Sixto was brought to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound on Feb. 18. just before 9:30 p.m.During their investigation, deputies said they determined the shooting likely took place at Sixto's apartment on Pomelo Drive in Vista. There, deputies detained Sixto's brother, 27-year-old Fredy Sixto. Virgin Galactic is preparing to land among the stars.On Wednesday, Virgin Galactic said they were working on its final preparations at its base in New Mexico as the VSS Unity is scheduled to launch into space from Spaceport America sometime in the fall.The company said the ship would be crewed by two pilots and several research payloads in the cabin.Virgin Galactic says its top priority is safety, so they want to make sure the pilots are prepared for the task at hand.To do just that, they will be using VMS Eve as an in-flight simulator. The pilots will use Eve to practice the identical approach and landing pattern since it's similar to Unity's, Chief Pilot Dave Mackay stated."The cockpit structure of Eve is almost identical to that of Unity: the same pilot seats and windows, as well as very similar flight controls and instruments," Mackay said in the press release.The company will go through a full, planned rehearsal before the VSS Unity takes flight. 973
