(KGTV) -- A small plane was forced to land on a freeway in San Clemente Monday, but no injuries were reported and no vehicles were hit.According to the California Highway Patrol, the emergency landing was reported shortly before 12:50 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Basilone Road, north of Camp Pendleton.CHP officials said the pilot was flying from John Wayne Airport in Orange County to San Diego’s Montgomery Field when his plane began having mechanical issues while over Camp Pendleton.The pilot, who has 18 years of flying experience, was aware he needed to land immediately and considered Highway 101 [Old Pacific Highway parallel to I-5] as an emergency landing spot before choosing I-5, according to the CHP.The pilot was able to wait for a break in vehicles before guiding the aircraft safely onto the freeway. The plane landed and came to a stop on the No. 4 lane before it was eventually moved to the right shoulder.The aircraft remained on the shoulder and off the freeway lanes as of 2:20 p.m.The pilot, who was the aircraft's only occupant, was unhurt, an FAA official told ABC 10News. (KGTV) — A Los Angeles-area police pursuit ended late Tuesday with a suspect breakdancing as officers held him a gunpoint before being arrested.The chase took California Highway Patrol officers through the San Fernando Valley after the suspect failed to yield to commands to stop, according to ABC-affiliate KABC.Officers pursued the suspect over the 101 Freeway, north on the 405 Freeway, and then east onto the 118 Freeway.As the driver slowed in the Pacoima area, officers were able to enact a PIT maneuver and spin the suspect's vehicle out.The driver exited the vehicle and began walking backward toward CHP officers. But before turning himself over, he stopped and began breakdancing in the street, as officers kept their firearms trained on the man.After a short dance, the man surrendered to police without incident. 832

At least, that's how Disney plans to address content on its upcoming streaming platform.Disney Plus, set to launch later this year, is set to bring the "entire Disney motion picture library" to viewers, according to Disney CEP Bob Iger. (KGTV) - A former Veterans of Foreign Wars official is in custody in Bakersfield on suspicion of sex crimes which alleged victims say started in San Diego. Timothy Machin, 51, was arrested on July 2 and is currently being held on ,000,000 bail. The VFW confirmed to Scripps affiliate KERO that Machin was the commander of VFW Post 97 in Bakersfield. According to the police report, one person estimated that Machin had sex with her "almost 1,700 times." There are also multiple victims, according to the report. Child Protetctive Services was called by one of the alleged victims on July 1. CPS contacted Bakersfield Police on the same day to report the allegations. One alleged victim told Bakersfield Police that Machin forced her to perform oral sex on him during some of the encounters. The same person someone walked into the room one time when Machin was having sex with her. The alleged victim said Machin and the other person argued, but nothing happened beyond the argument, according to the documents. The accusers told investigators that the abuse started when Machin lived in San Diego. Machin moved to Bakersfield from San Diego in 2009. One alleged victim told police she didn't come forward sooner because previous reports of abuse went unheeded and she thought reporting the "incident would be meaningless." Machin resigned the position of commander July 10, according to Wayne Wright, who has taken over command of the post. He added that Machin is still a member of the VFW Post. Wright declined to comment on the allegations because it is an active investigation. Wright said the commander position is the top-ranking official at a VFW Post. Machin was arraigned on Friday, July 5, and pleaded not guilty. He's been charged with two counts of incest and three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.
