(CNN) - President Donald Trump declared on Thursday he was considering withdrawing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from California as punishment for what he claimed was a "lousy management job" in patrolling illegal immigration."You know what, I'm thinking about doing it," Trump said at a roundtable with state and local officials to address ideas to stop gun violence in the wake of the Parkland school massacre. His comments came after he decried the state of law enforcement in the Golden State."We're getting no help from the state of California. Frankly, if I pulled our people from California, you would have a crime nest like you've never seen in California. All I'd have to do is say 'ICE, Border Patrol, leave California alone,'" he said during a listening session at the White House."You would see crime like nobody has ever seen crime in this country. And yet we get no help from the state of California. They are doing a lousy management job," he went on to say. "They have the highest taxes in the nation. And they don't know what's happening out there. (KGTV) -- A brush fire erupted Friday in the South San Francisco area, burning parts of an iconic hillside sign and prompting evacuations in the area.Bay Area TV station KGO reported the fire broke out just before 12 p.m.South San Francisco Fire Department officials issued mandatory evacuation orders for several nearby neighborhoods as flames approached an area known as "Sign Hill."Aerial footage showed the blaze burning some letters on a massive sign on a hill that reads “South San Francisco The Industrial City.”Fire officials did not say how much acreage the fire has burned as of 2 p.m.The cause of the fire is unknown. 636

(KGTV) - Chili’s is warning customers Friday about a possible payment card data breach at restaurants.The chain says malware was used to gather payment card information including credit or debit card numbers and cardholder names. Expiration dates and CVV codes on the back of cards may also have been accessed at certain Chili’s restaurants.The data were accessed between March and April of 2018, but Chili’s says a breach may have occurred on other dates.Chili’s said affected customers would have access to MyIDCare, a fraud resolution and credit monitoring service. It provides credit monitoring, a ,000,000 insurance reimbursement policy, exclusive educational materials, and fully managed identity theft recovery services.The chain is working with third-party forensic experts to determine the scope of the problem.Customers can call 888-710-8606 for more information. 883

(CNN) -- Saturday marks the 78th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, and one of the three remaining survivors of the USS Arizona will attend the annual ceremony in Hawaii.Lou Conter, 98, arrived this week after missing last year's celebration, the first time no survivors attended."I always come out to pay respect for the 2,403 men that were killed that day, including 1,177 of my shipmates on the Arizona," he said, CNN affiliate KHNL reported.RELATED: Post Office in Poway to be named after Pearl Harbor survivorSan Diego's oldest Pearl Harbor survivor recalls attack 78 years laterThe Japanese attack on the US on December 7, 1941, drew the country into World War II and changed global history.The other two remaining from the Arizona are unable to travel to Hawaii, KHNL said. Donald Stratton is 97 and Ken Potts is also nearing 100.Two Arizona survivors died in 2019: Lonnie Cook in July and Lauren Bruner in September.The commemoration starts Saturday at 7:50 a.m. local time on the Ceremonial Lawn at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. A moment of silence will be observed at 7:55, the exact time the attack began.The ceremony, scheduled to last less than 90 minutes, will also feature music by Navy's Pacific Fleet Band, a Hawaiian blessing, wreath presentations, a rifle salute by the Marine Corps, and a vintage aircraft flyover. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt is set to give a keynote address.The event is free and open to the public.
