(CNN) -- Two suspects escaped from a Northern California jail early Sunday, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office said.Santos Samuel Fonseca, 21, and Jonathan Salazar, 20, were being held in the Monterey County Adult Detention Facility awaiting trial on unrelated murder charges, the sheriff's office in a message on Facebook. The two face other felonies, authorities said.The sheriff's office didn't say how the men escaped, but they said the means of escape is under investigation.The pair had been in custody since 2018. Deputies say they should be considered dangerous.The sheriff's office is asking the public to contact them at (831) 755-3722, 24 hours a day with any information on the two suspects. (KGTV) -- A suspect in the freeway shooting death of a San Diego man was arrested following a standoff at a San Diego hotel, California Highway Patrol officials announced Monday.Vincent Dulay Deguzman Jr. faces charges in connection with the June 7 death of 47-year-old San Diego resident Jessie Garcia Sr., CHP officials said.According to the CHP, on June 7, Deguzman and Garcia were in a Kia Altima on southbound Interstate 5 in Irvine when Deguzman, who was behind the wheel, allegedly shot Garcia and then abandoned the rental car south of Culver Drive, where it was found on the shoulder with the body next to the vehicle at around 7:33 a.m.On June 11, CHP investigators identified Deguzman as the suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for his arrest.Investigators collaborated with the San Diego Fugitive Task Force and tracked Deguzman to a Hilton Garden Inn in San Diego.CHP officials said, “Deguzman barricaded himself inside a hotel room and a stand-of ensued.”Deguzman eventually surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.Deguzman was booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder and being held without bail.CHP officials did not release any information on a possible motive in the case. 1234

  

(KGTV) — Disneyland's "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" expansion will host the park's most complex attraction ever — and possibly at any theme park.During Star Wars Celebration this weekend in Chicago, Disney's Imagineering team dished on "Galaxy's Edge" attractions and the creation of the land. Part of that came a few tidbits regarding the second highly-anticipated ride coming this year: "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance."RELATED: The rides, foods, toys you'll get to enjoy at Disneyland's 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge'"This is the biggest attraction we’ve ever built," Scott Trowbridge, Portfolio Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, said during the presentation. "It should be epic, because, Star Wars, right? That’s why we’re going big with this attraction."A trailer teasing the attraction was played for the Chicago audience showing various scenes from "Rise of the Resistance," images Trowbridge said were captured directly from inside the attraction.“It is the biggest, it is one of the most complex attraction experiences that we or anyone else has ever built," Trowbridge said.RELATED: Disney's Star Wars land: The good, the bad — and no Fast Passes?"Rise of the Resistance" pits riders smack dab inside a First Order Star Destroyer, as they try to escape a fleet of Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren himself. Guests journey through the attraction on a trackless vehicle, meeting Rey (actress Daisy Ridley), Finn (actor John Boyega), and Poe (actor Oscar Isaac) along the way. There are even life-size recreations of Poe Dameron's X-Wing and A-Wing fighters and TIE fighters.Imagineers also revealed custom bottles of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite and Dasani coming to the "Star Wars" land, fashioned into a droid-like shape and covered in Aurebesh, a fictional language used in the film franchise. (KGTV) — "Top Gun" fans looking forward to recapturing that loving feeling with Maverick and the crew will have to wait another year.Paramount's "Top Gun: Maverick" has been delayed to allow for more flight training time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will now land in theaters June 26, 2020, instead of July 12, 2019.The sequel to the 1986 action hit "Top Gun" will see Tom Cruise reprise his role as "Maverick" and co-star Miles Teller.RELATED: 490
