SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A College Area homeowner got a huge shock when he returned home from a camping trip: The presence of some uninvited guests.Bill Yogerst left Saturday at 12 p.m. from his home on Catoctin Drive. On Monday morning, he got a call from his roommate, who had also been out of town, telling him the grates on the outside of the granny flat had been damaged.     Inside the house, there was one disturbing discovery after another.    "There was a trail of dirt in the shower. They had urinated on the toilet. He also found shoes and some sweatpants in his hamper that didn't belong to him. Also throughout the house were odd shrines of carefully positioned, mismatched household objects."That is skin-crawling creepy," said Yogerst.The feeling didn't go away when he reached the bedroom."I looked at my bed and it wasn't made. Sheets were pulled down and the pillows rearranged and stacked ... realized they were sleeping in my bed ... a creepy feeling of violation," said Yogerst.The intruders in this twisted Goldilocks tale: A homeless couple in their 20s. Neighbors spotted them in the driveway on Sunday. Yogerst says they found his hidden spare key and walked right in."It was like a Holiday Inn. They were enjoying their stay," said Yogerst.Yogerst says the presence of homeless in the area has increased in the past two years."Some of the churches, God bless them, do feed them, but that does bring them in," said Yogerst.Yogerst says only a few items were taken, including loose change, toiletries, and prescription medication. One of the suspects has a distinct description: A transient African-American woman, about 5-foot 5-inches tall, with bright orange hair. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 44-year-old in Bay Terraces back in June.San Diego Police say 27-year-old Leaoaisemativa Sandoval was arrested on Dec. 19 and charged with the murder of Sean Nixon. Prosecutors say on June 6, Nixon was strangled with a strap from a marijuana grow tent inside a home on Freed Manor Lane.SDPD officers have also arrested Glenn Montano, Alfredo Sales Montano Jr., and Joshua Barnum. All were booked into County Jail for murder.The District Attorney’s Office says that Glen Montano wrapped the strap around the victim’s neck, while Alfredo Montano struck Nixon multiple times and kicked him while he was being strangled.Two of the suspects, who are brothers, were allegedly running an illegal gambling den and cannabis grow operation at the home. 840

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A 20-year-old woman claims she was sexually assaulted for about 20 minutes during a Lyft ride in June.She's identified as Jane Roe in a civil lawsuit filed by Estey & Bomberger, LLP on Thursday. Roe tells 10News she has a disability and is unable to drive, she relies on Lyft to get to and from UCSD and around San Diego on a daily basis."I would use Lyft every day for about a year and a half," said Roe. "I would use it about 2-3 times a day."In June, Roe says she was using Lyft to travel from her father's home to her mother's, a 32-minute ride on the Interstate 5 that would forever change her life.RELATED: San Diego women reported in Uber, Lyft sex assault cases"He just asked me inappropriate questions," Roe said, referring to her driver. "He was commenting about inappropriate behaviors that he likes to do."Roe said the driver then told her to sit in the front passenger's seat, and out of fear she complied."The man.. he started touching me.. he groped my vagina, he groped my inner thighs, my thighs, my hamstrings," Roe said. She said the assault lasted between 15 and 20 minutes."I was kind of in a state of shock," Roe said. But Roe and her attorney, Mike Bomberger, say Lyft has been unresponsive."One of the things we don't know is what happened to the driver," Bomberger said.Roe and Bomberger allege that Lyft is not doing enough to keep passengers safe."Lyft fails to cooperate with police when there's an assault. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Symphony canceled the remainder of its 2020 season today as COVID-19-related closures drag on, with some performances canceled through May 2021.All Jacobs Masterworks concerts at Copley Symphony Hall at Jacobs Music Center have been canceled through Dec. 31. In addition, all special concerts and all concerts in the Broadway at the Jacobs, Jazz at the Jacobs, Fox Film and Family concert series have been canceled through May 2021.As a result of the cancellations and to simplify the ticketing process, the company will automatically move any 2020/21 subscription into the 2021/22 season. Symphony staff plans to share details of the 2021/22 season programming in April 2021.``While our venues -- Copley Symphony Hall at Jacobs Music Center, and The Shell -- remain closed, we continue to connect with our audiences and each other through a variety of digital programs and the sharing of socially distanced performances by our musicians on social media,'' a statement on the symphony's social media read.``Thank you for the incredible loyalty and support you have shown to the symphony during this challenging time. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 16-year-old was hospitalized Saturday night after being shot at a gas station in Skyline. Police say the shooting happened at an Arco station near South Meadow Brooke and Paradise Valley Road. According to police, the victim and his friends were walking through the parking lot when one of them was shot. Witnesses told police an argument broke out between the victim and three other teens when one of the three boys, who are all under the age of 18, shot the 16-year-old in the stomach before running away. The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive. 613
