An online petition is calling on President Trump or Congress to close down Fort Hood.The petition on change.org says the military post should be shut down due to its handling of the case of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen.The 20-year-old soldier disappeared from post on April 22. Human remains believed to belong to her were found Tuesday in an area near the Leon River in Little River Academy.Before her disappearance, Pfc. Guillen told friends and family she was being sexually harassed by her superior. An investigation has been started into those allegations.One suspect in her disappearance died by suicide as officers attempted to make contact. Another suspect, a civilian and estranged wife of a former Fort Hood soldier, has been arrested and is currently in the Bell County jail.The petition says Fort Hood failed her and "let her die when they claim, 'No soldier left behind.'"As of publication, the petition has 260,000 signatures. ANCHORAGE, Alaska – President Donald Trump is projected to win the state of Alaska, according to The Associated Press.Winning the state gives Trump three additional electoral votes, bringing him to a total of 217, still far behind Joe Biden.The AP still projects Biden will win the presidency, since he is on track to finish with at least 290 electoral votes. A candidate needs 270 to win.With the contest in Alaska called, the only two states that remain up in the air in the presidential race are Georgia and North Carolina, based on AP projections. Regardless of which way they sway, it likely won’t alter who takes the White House.Along with the presidency being called, the AP also projects that Alaska’s Republican senator, Dan Sullivan, will win reelection to the U.S. Senate.Sullivan's win brings to the GOP to 50 seats in the Senate, while the Democrats have 48. The Senate majority will all come down to who wins the two runoff races in Georgia. Residents in the state will vote on Jan. 5.Additionally, the AP projects Republican Don Young will win reelection to U.S. House in Alaska's at-large congressional district. 1136

Anita Hall, along with the Hollywood Commission, will launch a new anonymous reporting platform next year to hold serial harassers in the movie industry accountable.Hill, who made history in October 1991 when she testified before Congress about the alleged sexual harassment she experienced when she was an aide by then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.Twenty-nine years later, Hill is still finding ways to address the abuse and harassment women still face today.The Hollywood Commission, founded by entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw and Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy and Hill chairs, recently spearheaded a survey that found survivors want to track harassment and abuse in the workplace.According to the survey, 93% of the 9,630 anonymous current and former workers in Hollywood said they wanted "technology for victims to create a time-stamped record" that would track harassment and abuse in the workplace.After its findings, the commission announced in September that by the first quarter of 2021, they would launch a cross-industry anonymous reporting platform that would help identify abusers.The platform would also allow users to ask questions or raise concerns through a two-way anonymous messaging system."For too long in Hollywood, there have been 'open secrets' about the harassment perpetrated on workers by powerful people who are able to successfully evade accountability for their actions," said Hill in the press release. "With this survey, we have identified the most vulnerable workers in Hollywood and the resources and systems that will provide support and a safety net for them.
