JOINT BASE ANDREWS, MD (KGTV) -- Three Americans held captive in North Korea are believed to have landed safely on United States soil. Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak-song and Kim Sang Duk (also known as Tony Kim) landed at Joint Base Andrews on Thursday night at 11:25 p.m. At this time they have not yet been seen exiting the plane. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that the three Americans were on their way home and would land around 2 a.m. eastern time. JetBlue says it plans to increase the number of seats it will fill on planes starting in December. That makes JetBlue the latest airline to retreat from blocking middle seats to give passengers more space because of the pandemic. A JetBlue spokesman said Thursday that the airline still plans to limit seating through the holidays but hasn't decided how many seats to leave empty. A statement on their website reads: "JetBlue is currently blocking the vast majority of middle seats on larger planes (and most aisle seats on smaller ones) for all flights through 12/1/20. We’ll continue to block seats and limit the number of travelers on JetBlue flights through the holiday season, in order to provide additional space between those not traveling together while helping families and others who are traveling together to sit together where possible."Southwest plans to end blocking middle seats on Dec. 1. Delta and Alaska Airlines say they will limit capacity on flights through Jan. 6, but will end the policy early next year. Joe diGenova, an attorney for the Trump campaign, told a Boston radio host on Monday that fired cybersecurity director Christopher Krebs should be shot.The comments were made on an episode of "The Howie Carr Show," according to CNN.According to NBC News, diGenova called Krebs a "class A moron" and should be "taken out at dawn and shot."On Tuesday, according to CNN, diGenova tried to backpedal by portraying his remarks as a joke, stating they were "sarcastic and made in jest," NBC reported.Krebs was fired last month by President Donald Trump after the Homeland Security agency declared that the general election was the most secure in U.S. history.During an interview on NBC's "TODAY" show Tuesday, Krebs said he might take legal action after deeming the remarks "dangerous." 788

JULIAN (CNS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Julian on Saturday.California Highway Patrol officers headed to state Route 79 near Sunrise Highway about 1:50 p.m. for a report that a Toyota 4Runner had struck a motorcycle and pinned the rider underneath the vehicle, according to a CHP incident log.The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cal Fire San Diego. No identifying information on the victim was available.One-way traffic control was in place while authorities investigated and worked to clean up the crash, according to the CHP. 579

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Water releases to Lake Okeechobee will be adjusted beginning today, Aug. 24. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says releases will achieve a 14-day average of 2,000 cubic feet per second from Moore Haven Lock and Dam and 1,500 cubic feet per second from St. Lucie Lock and Dam. "With continued paramount focus on Herbert Hoover Dike safety throughout 2018, we need to make increased discharges to slow the still dangerous rise in lake levels," said Jacksonville District Commander, Col. Jason Kirk. "In concert with the South Florida Water Management District, we continue to maximize storage nor and south of the lake to minimize the requirement for discharges." The lake stage was 14.57 feet as of Thursday. Under these current conditions, discharges up to 4,000 cubic feet per second are allowed to be released to the Caloosahatchee and up to 1,800 cubic feet per second to the St. Lucie. Crews will use flexibility when it comes raising flows, while they still work to reduce risk to the Herbert Hoover Dike. The St. Lucie average flow will increase by 330 cubic feet per second from current releases, although runoff water from rain in the St. Lucie basin could occasionally result in flows that exceed the target amount of 1,500 cubic feet per second. Staff with the Jacksonville District will continue to monitor conditions and will make adjustments to water flows as needed.  1458
