SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers and police investigators announced Tuesday a reward to find a woman suspected of identity theft and using fraudulent credit cards at Walmart. The woman opened two separate credit card accounts at the Murphy Canyon and Grossmont Center stores Dec. 18, according to the San Diego Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit. The woman bought ,500 worth of items at each store. Police said the woman also tried to open fraudulent credit accounts at a Marshalls and Target store in Kearny Mesa, but was unsuccessful. The woman later went to a Chase Bank and took nearly ,000 in cash from the bank account of a victim whose identity she stole, police said. The victim’s credit monitoring service notified her of the fraudulent activity. Investigators believe the suspect is using a fake identification card using the victim’s basic information. The victim doesn’t know how the woman obtained her personal data, police said. The suspect, who is white and in her mid 20s to late 30s, was wearing a dark-colored wig while at the bank. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Residents in a senior mobile home park in Oceanside are worried about speeding drivers after two ducks were hit and killed Wednesday. Neighbors told 10News a mom, dad and baby duck were crossing the road around 5 a.m. when a newspaper delivery driver ran them over.Several residents reported that the driver responsible delivers the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper and regularly speeds on their narrow roads.The UT told 10News their carriers are employed by a separate company but issued the following statement: "We have learned that a carrier from an independent distributor, who delivers The San Diego Union-Tribune, may have been involved in an auto collision involving a family of ducks. Safety is a priority for us and we support safe and respectful work practices among the vendors with whom we do business. We share the concerns of the residents and encourage the distributor to review the incident and address any unsafe practices." 970

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego police are searching for the person who fired a gun into a group of people injuring two teens late Saturday night.Two groups of people began arguing just before midnight at the corner of 30th Street and J Street in the Grant Hill neighborhood, about a block away from Kimbrough Elementary School.The gunman pulled out a handgun and shot a 16-year-old boy in the left calf and a 18-year-old male in the right ankle, authorities said.A possible third shooting victim was located at an area hospital with undisclosed injuries, according to police. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego City Council leaders will consider several measures aimed at lessening the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in San Diego.Among the legislation are measures that place a moratorium on evictions due to non-payment from loss of wages due to COVID-19, prevent immigration enforcement operations at hospitals and other healthcare facilities, and provide relief from utility shutoffs or late fees because of non-payment due to coronavirus.“The COVID-19 pandemic is already causing harm throughout our communities and across our regional economy, impacting vulnerable families, individuals, and businesses,” City Council President Georgette Gómez said. “We must act immediately to protect those who most are at risk of devastating financial hardship.”The council will also request Gov.
