TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he has been discharged from a New Jersey hospital after a week there following his announcement that he had contracted the coronavirus. Christie said in a Twitter post Saturday that he had been released from Morristown Medical Center and would have “more to say about all of this next week.” Christie announced Oct. 3 that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and said hours later that he had checked himself into the hospital after deciding with his doctors that doing so would be “an important precautionary measure” given his history of asthma. 618

Tumblr, a popular blog service owned and operated by Yahoo, says it will ban "adult content" from its site on Dec. 17.The decision comes just weeks after the Tumblr app was temporarily removed from Apple's App Store after child pornography was found on the site. Tumblr said in a statement to The Verge that the decision to ban adult content did not stem from that incident.Tumblr's new policy bans "explicit sexual content" and most instances of nudity. The site added that nudity "found in art," as well as nudity in the context of health-related situations and in the context of political protest or newsworthy events would still be permitted.Tumblr also says that written erotica will still be permitted on the site.After Dec. 17, any explicit content flagged by algorithms will be hidden from public view but not deleted from the site. United Airlines is looking to add flights to their schedule in October, including resuming previously canceled trips and adding new ones.According to the airline, this will bring them up to flying 40 percent of their full schedule in October compared to October 2019. In September, they are only expecting to fly 34 percent of their full schedule.The news comes a week after the airline announced it will furlough more than 16,000 employees in October. That’s when federal bailout money from the federal government expires.The resumed flights include eight routes to Hawaii, “pending approval of the state’s pre-arrival COVID testing program.” Hawaii recently extended their out-of-state visitors ban to October 1. Once they allow visitors and tourists again, travelers must fill out a “safe travels” form and go through pandemic screening measures."We continue to be data-driven and realistic in our approach to rebuilding our network," Ankit Gupta, United's vice president of Domestic Network Planning said in a press release. Two dozen python hunters are outnumbered by the thousands of pythons slithering through the Everglades, but they are making a difference."Some people like the city and the movies, I like the Everglades," said Kyle Penniston. He's one of the 25 hunters licensed by the South Florida Water Management District to track down and kill invasive Burmese Pythons.Though pythons aren't venomous, they have a voracious appetite, and have been known to gobble up anything from deer to alligators."When I was younger, maybe 8, 9 years old, my dad started taking me out to the Everglades," said Penniston. I'd see so many foxes, rabbits, I'd see all kinds of wildlife. Now-a-days, it's very rare to see a possum."Kyle captured an 8-foot python in western Miami-Dade county May 5th, but the python problem is affecting South Florida from coast to coast.Almost a year ago, an Collier County man caught one swallowing one of his pet goats, he shot it while it was in the middle of its meal.Since 2005, there have been python sightings recorded from Lehigh Acres all the way to Greater Miami."It's their fault, they didn't ask to come here they didn't get a ticket, they didn't drive here, they are here because of people," Kyle said of the snakes.Kyle says the pet trade is to blame for the population boom, making matters worse, in 1992, Hurricane Andrew destroyed a python breeding facility, sending more snakes slithering into the wild."You're never going to get every single python, it's just not a possibility because it's a vast area."But Kyle says the South Florida Water Management District's python elimination program is making a dent in the population.The program, which started in March 2017 is closing in on 1,000 kills. That number is low when you consider how many eggs were taken."Also around 2500 eggs have been removed as well."Kyle says although there is a long way to go, he's seen some native wildlife come back in certain areas of the Everglades.He's happy to be part of the solution to the python problem. "It's better to be out here trying to do something, than sitting at home on your couch."Python hunting is forbidden within the boundaries of Everglades National Park, but Congressman Francis Rooney is working with the Trump Administration to make an exception. 2282
