After a recent Supreme Court ruling, gambling on games will be a lot easier.Sports betting is now legal in 18 states plus Washington, D.C.Clark says four other states have passed bills legalizing sports betting and he expects more to follow suit for financial reasons.“About 1 million has been generated in tax revenue across those states in that short amount of time,” he said. “So, you’ve seen significant uptick in opportunity for states and counties and local jurisdiction.”One state that’s seeing immediate pay off after legalizing sports betting in May, is Colorado.“Colorado has a 10 percent tax on the wins,” said Dan Hartman, director of the Colorado Division of Gaming. In fact, according to Ballotpedia, most states will only accept votes for certain pre-approved write-in candidates.Ballotpedia reports that only eight states — Alabama, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Wyoming — will count the write-in votes for any write-in candidate. And of those states, it appears only Vermont publishes the name of every write-in candidate on its election results webpage.Write-in candidates received 1,942 votes for president in Vermont in the 2020 presidential election. That's compared to the 242,820 that Biden received in carrying the state. It's also more than the 1,269 that independent candidate Kanye West received, despite being listed on the ballot.Among write-in candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders received the most with 619. That's not exactly a surprise — the left-wing, progressive senator calls the state home and is currently in the midst of his third term as one of the state's senators.Other top vote-getters included moderate Republicans like Sen. INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) -- Police say two women climbed in the drive-thru window at an Indianapolis McDonald's and assaulted an employee because they didn't get their chicken McNuggets. Police were called to the restaurant just after 3 a.m. local time Friday morning.The manager told police he was working the drive-thru window when two women pulled up complaining they did not receive their chicken McNuggets. When the manager told the women they didn't order McNuggets or pay for them, even printing out a receipt to show them, the pair tried to order some at the window. The manager told the women they would have to drive back around and order at the signboard and said, "Have a nice day," before turning his back on them to fill other customer orders, according to police. The women then began pounding on the window and honking their car horn, claiming they had been disrespected.
