Today is day 7 of this 14-day period, therefore in one week, all TK-12 schools could be allowed to open for in-person instruction, if the school leadership chooses to do so. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Recent rains have caused sewage-contaminated runoff to enter ocean water along Imperial Beach, San Diego County health officials announced Friday.An existing water contact closure of the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge coastline has been expanded to include all of Imperial Beach's coast, according to the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health.Due to recent rainfall, county health officials said sewage-contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River entered the Tijuana Estuary. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers released photos of a suspect and offered a reward Thursday for tips about an assault in the Midway area. A man parked his vehicle along the side of the Arby’s at 3777 Midway Drive April 6 about 7 p.m., inadvertently cutting off another driver. The man went inside the restaurant and got into an argument with the driver. During the fight, the driver punched the victim in the head eight times, police said. The victim fell to the ground and the driver stomped on his head with his feet, according to investigators. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for an orbital fracture. The suspect drove away from the area, police said. He is described as white, about 30 years old, with a muscular build. The sides and back of his head are shaved, according to officers.
