SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Albertsons LLC, Safeway Inc., and The Vons Companies, Inc. have agreed to pay at least 0,000 after an investigation by the state Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) over illegal business practices.The investigation stemmed from the grocery stores' "Monopoly" game promotion, in which customers received "Monopoly" coupons toward discounts and potentially prizes. ABC said the violations arose out of sales of alcohol included in the 2018 promotion.The "Monopoly" promotion was held at Albertsons stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pac N Save, and Pavilions locations.The promotion advertised certain beer brands by MillerCoors as part of the game. Customers received additional chances to win prizes if they purchased those brands, according to ABC."This particular violation gave these retailers a competitive advantage by offering consumers a gift or premium for purchasing alcoholic beverage products," ABC Director Jacob Appelsmith said in a release.ABC filed action against nearly 600 stores across California, accusing the companies of violation several regulations. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego woman is among those killed in the Conception boat fire off Santa Cruz Island, her coworkers in Coronado told 10News Tuesday. A manager at Nicky Rottens restaurant at 100 Orange Ave. identified Nicole Quitasol as one of the victims of the deadly fire. Quitasol was on the dive trip with four relatives, her coworkers posted on Facebook. "Nicole has worked with our Nicky Rottens Coronado family for years, and she will be remembered as an adventurous & loving soul," wrote Bryn Butolph, who described Quitasol as smart and loving."She will be greatly missed," Butolph added. He told 10News Quitasol was devoted to her dog, Peanut Butter.The family of five was among 34 people presumed dead in the blaze. All were sleeping below deck when the fire started early Monday. The group says increased radiation is extremely harmful and can lead to seizures and heart failure.The city of San Diego accounted their 5G partnership with Verizon in April. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A tow truck driver helped San Diego Police capture a man who the driver said was starting a fire Thursday along Interstate 15 in central San Diego.Police said the tow truck driver reported the man near the 15 and 94 freeways in Mount Hope about 1 p.m.Officers handcuffed the man and placed him inside a patrol car, but he managed to get out of his restraints. Police said he fought back and they removed him from the car to restrain him again.“The gentleman attempted to bite two of the officers on their hands as they were attempting to place him in the body wrap system,” said SDPD Sgt. Nathan Chambers.Arson investigators who responded to the fire scene found charred wood and grass. There was no evidence of a large fire.10News asked police if the man is connected to other recent fires in the area but officers said that has not been determined. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Spirit Airlines flight leaving San Diego's airport was stopped on the runway Thursday when the plane had a hydraulic fluid leak at Lindbergh Field.The incident happened just after 9 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire Department. No smoke made its way into the cabin and no fire was reported. Crews towed the aircraft back to its terminal.No injuries were reported. Spirit Airlines spokesman Stephen Schuler issued a statement just after noon which reads, "Spirit Airlines flight 359 from San Diego to Las Vegas returned to the gate following a reported mechanical issue. The captain of another aircraft in line for takeoff reported smoke from the rear landing gear and fire officials responded accordingly. The aircraft was towed to the gate, where our mechanics and FAA inspectors discovered it was nothing more than condensation. The plane is scheduled to take off shortly.  We apologize for any inconvenience to our guests."  995
