And they are more likely to die.A new study found only 39 percent of women suffering cardiac arrest in a public place were given CPR versus 45 percent of men. Are there bystanders around and how are they going to react and where does my liability stand."He tells students they are protected by the Good Samaritan Law. And CPR only requires touching the center of the chest."You're not actually pressing down on the breast," Wolfstich says. "It is not going to injure anything, you're putting all of your weight directly onto that breastbone."He and other experts say instruction must be more inclusive, and there is no time to waste."Us simply hesitating on do I want to put my hands on their chest that could be five or 10 seconds, "Woldstich says. A Norwalk, Ohio man and Sunday school teacher is facing charges after having inappropriate sexual contact with a child in a church basement.Kenneth Rose is charged with gross sexual imposition of a child. He was the children's director at Milan Friends Church in Milan Township and had been volunteering there for six months.Rose is being held without bond while the Erie County Sheriff's Office investigates what exactly went on inside the church and if more than one child was involved.Two alleged incidents were reported by one child who was in his program. The girl said both incidents happened while her parents were in regular church service. One happened on Feb. 25, the other on March 18. "There was inappropriate sexual contact, so there was touching involved," Detective Sergeant Dennis Papineau with the Erie County Sheriff's Department said. He said the young girl went to her father and told him what her Sunday school teacher did to her."There was spanking involved," Detective Sergeant Papineau said. It happened in the church's basement, when no other kids were around."When this actually occurred, they were by themselves."Rose admitted guilt to investigators immediately. "He was cooperative with the investigation."Scripps station WEWS in Cleveland talked to the pastor of the church, Paul Campbell, on the phone. He didn't want to go on camera, but said the church is cooperating with investigators and trying to be as transparent as possible. Pastor Campbell said Rose never should have been with children alone, and they still aren't sure how this happened. Campbell said there were no other incidents reported to them. Rose is not listed as a sex offender and does not have a criminal history. Campbell said they're already talking about what they can do to make sure this never happens again. "This is an active investigation, and if there are any other victims we are asking them to come forward," Detective Sergeant Papineau said. 2084

(KGTV) - A charter bus collided with a tree near an East County school Friday, injuring students with shattered glass.The bus collided with a tree next to Joan MacQueen Middle School in Alpine just before 5 p.m. There were at least 43 children on the bus, according to California Highway Patrol officer Mary Bailey. Some of the students were injured by shattered glass.It's not clear how the bus crashed.10News is monitoring this story: 469

Actor Mark Wahlberg said on Tuesday that he would consider buying a professional soccer team in Ohio whose current owner is attempting to relocate the team to Texas. The Columbus Crew SC is planning to move to Austin, Texas after its owner, Anthony Precourt, successfully lobbied Austin City Council on Wednesday for a land deal with the city. But a lawsuit in Ohio could complicate Precourt's move, and potentially could force Precourt to sell the franchise to an owner who intends to keep the team in Ohio.A law was hatched two decades ago after Art Modell infamously moved the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore. Ohio has a law that stipulates teams that receive local or state government support must give an opportunity to sell the team to local owners before relocating. One caveat is the law has never been tested, and would likely go through extensive appeals if successful. While Wahlberg is not from Ohio, he recently purchased a Chevrolet dealership in Columbus, which gained a few laughs on CBS' "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday.Before opting to buy the Crew SC, Wahlberg said he would need to consult his friend Robert Kraft, who owns the New England Revolution of the MLS. After a gunshot wound to the back paralyzed him, Javier Flores turned his anger into art.“For me it’s a meditative process,” he said. “It’s a way I can focus something bigger than myself.”Learning to overcome his own obstacles, Flores is now fighting for more disability rights around the world.“As an artist, I feel it’s art job to provoke and insight dialogue and conversation,” he said.Conversation about the United States' failure to ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, an international human rights treaty intended to protect the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.“I’m disabled and so for me it’s a slap in the face,” Flores said. “I felt like it was an injustice and so it’s one of the things I wanted to carry out through the aesthetics of cubism.”With help from his art students at Access Gallery, Flores created a piece titled “Really?” in an attempt to bring awareness to his fight.“The image is an adaptation of Pablo Picasso’s “Guernica,” Flores said of the artwork. “Instead of the horse, there’s a seeing eye dog.
