SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Parents in Pacific Beach are calling on more enforcement at the Crown Point Elementary field.During school hours the field is only open to elementary students and then opens to the public 30 minutes before and after. Mariluci Byrnes has a daughter who plays on the field with the Pacific Youth Soccer League. She says many dog owners ignore city signs warning it's a violation to take your dog off-leash and to not pick up after them.  “Just not a good combination when you have kids playing and there’s poop all over the place," said Byrnes.Byrnes says kids and parents often step in dog poop and she worries an off-leash dog could injure a child.  The field is now in the San Diego Humane Society’s (SDHS) jurisdiction. An SDHS spokesperson confirms they’ve gotten complaints about the issue, but sometimes other calls involving safety take priority over off-leash dogs. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for the suspects in a deadly Mountain View park shooting that took place during a soccer game. Police were called to the Willie Henderson Sports Complex on the 1000 block of South 45th Street just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police found a man who had been shot. First responders tried to save the man, but he died at the scene. Investigators say little is known about the circumstances leading up to the man’s death. According to police, the park was crowded at the time of the shooting with soccer players and spectators. “It is not believed the victim was involved with the soccer game that was underway,” police added. Although police haven’t identified the victim, family members who arrived on scene say the victim is 31-year-old Armando Torres Jr. Family members say he was the father of a 2-year-old girl. The suspects are only described as three Hispanic men in their teens to twenties wearing hooded sweatshirts. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was injured late Friday after a stabbing near Fox Canyon in eastern San Diego.A 25-year-old man was with two other people in the 4900 block of Auburn Dr. just after 10 p.m. when an unknown suspect walked up to the group and got in an argument with the victim, San Diego Police said.The argument escalated, ending with the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times in the left side of his body, police said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a mystery shooter that appears to using moving vehicles for target practice on a road in La Jolla.On Thursday just past 10 p.m. on La Jolla Parkway, Judy Chance was in her minivan running errands. It happened about a quarter mile from the fire station."Bang, bang, bang, bang. Basically all at once," said Chance.Her minivan was under attack."Enough to caused me to jerk back. When I looked, I saw circles in my windshield, like target practice," said Chance.On the windshield were at least six circles. Whatever caused them cracked but didn't puncture the glass."I was shocked. I was scared but had to regain composure as I was driving," said Chance.Chance pulled over and called police, feeling frightened, but grateful."Luckily I was going slow. I could have gone off the road. Glad my side window was closed," said Chance.Chance was not the only victim. Just minutes prior, in the same location, a couple driving a Mercedes says they heard a loud blast and saw a flash, before their windshield was pelted with shots. Some eight circles were found on their windshield. Was it a BB or pellet gun? One gun expert told 10news the flash and grouping may point to a shotgun, possibly loaded with birdshot. Chance says there were no vehicles around them, so the shooter may have been standing on the side of the road.Detectives say they don't have any suspect description. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — New numbers show almost 40% of people who test positive for COVID-19 in San Diego County are between the ages of 20 and 39.As more businesses begin to open up, more Californians are testing positive for the coronavirus."It really is an alarming trend," Dr. Abisola Olulade, family medicine doctor at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, said.It is a trend affecting everyone, but most noticeably for younger adults between 20 and 39.RELATED: Gov. Gavin Newsom warns counties to enforce coronavirus precautions"We are seeing an increase in the total number of cases with people that are getting younger and younger," Governor Gavin Newsom said in his daily address Wednesday.At the early onset of the pandemic, health officials stressed the importance of the elderly population to take heed. But new numbers show the virus does not discriminate."There is a sense that a lot of young people are, well, you're young, and so you feel a little bit more invincible. "We are not immune to the effects of this virus."Younger folks are often the first to venture out to newly reopened businesses or have participated in recent large gatherings like the protests.
