CODY, Wyo. – During an interview with Forbes, Kanye West elaborated on his decision to run for president of the United States and made several more head scratching comments.Over the course of four “rambling” hours of interviews, the magazine says the rapper confirmed that he was serious when he tweeted Saturday that he would pursue the White House.West disclosed that he would be running under a new political party, the “Birthday Party.” He reportedly said, “because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.” He said his campaign slogan is “YES!” and he’s already chosen his running mate – an obscure Wyoming preacher named Michelle Tidball.In the past, West has voiced his support of President Donald Trump, who has been seeking reelection since he took office in 2017. However, West told Forbes that he no longer supports Trump and that he was “taking the red hat off” with the interview.With West apparently entering the presidential race, many Democrats are concerned he could spoil former Vice President Joe Biden’s prospects of winning. West is OK with that and isn’t shy about it, calling Biden “not special,” like him, former President Barack Obama and Trump.West went on to say that it’s “a form of racism and white supremacy and white control to say that all Black people need to be Democrat and to assume that me running is me splitting the vote.”Another revelation – West told the magazine that he was sick with COVID-19 in February. He described having chills, shaking in bed and looking up videos to see what he was supposed to do to get over it.Also regarding COVID-19, West said he’s “extremely cautious” about the potential coronavirus vaccine and he went as far as calling it “the mark of the beast.”“They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven,” West told Forbes. “I'm sorry when I say they, the humans that have the Devil inside them. And the sad thing is that, the saddest thing is that we all won’t make it to heaven, that there’ll be some of us that do not make it. Critics are calling Sinclair's promos pro-Trump propaganda. Now the company is defending the initiative, and calling it something much more mundane: A "corporate news journalistic responsibility promotional campaign."Sinclair, America's largest operator of local TV stations, is in the spotlight after a controversial promo video went viral over the weekend.Some staffers say they're embarrassed by the promos and concerned about their own credibility as journalists. A few local anchors and reporters are even reacting publicly, risking the ire of management.But Sinclair senior vice president of news Scott Livingston is defending the promos as a "well-researched journalistic initiative focused on fair and objective reporting."In an internal memo obtained by CNNMoney, Livingston slammed what he called "misleading, often defamatory stories" about the company. (The full memo is below.)Last month, at Livingston's direction, anchors at Sinclair's stations were required to read a script decrying "fake stories" and biased news coverage. Some of the language echoes President Trump's anti-media messaging. Claire Foy, the actress who starred as Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series "The Crown" was paid less for her Golden Globe-winning performance than supporting actor Matt Smith, according to Variety.The entertainment publication cites the CEO, creative director and production designer of Left Bank Pictures, the company that produced "The Crown" for Netflix.Smith, who played Queen Elizabeth II's husband Prince Phillip, was reportedly paid more because of his previous work as the lead role the hit TV show Doctor Who — a move which producers say will not happen on "The Crown" in the future."Going forward, no one gets paid more than the Queen," said Suzanne Mackie, the creative director for Left Bank according to Variety.That won't mean much for Foy, as her run as Queen Elizabeth II ended after the most recent season of "The Crown." Colorado's First Gentleman, Marlon Reis, is now in the hospital due to worsening COVID-19 symptoms.Both Reis and Gov. Jared Polis tested positive for COVID-19 last Saturday. At the time, Polis said both of them had only mild symptoms.Over the weekend, Reis started to experience a slightly worsening cough and shortness of breath eight days after being diagnosed with COVID-19, according to the press release from the governor's office.As a precaution, Gov. Polis drove Reis to the hospital in his personal vehicle to be reviewed and treated. Polis says he is not experiencing any additional symptoms at this time.Reis posted on Facebook about the hospital trip, and said it was precautionary and used the message to encourage mask wearing.“Friends,Today, on day eight of my bout with Coronavirus, I experienced a worsening cough and shortness of breath. My doctor suggested that as a precaution I go to the hospital, so a few hours ago Jared drove me to the hospital where I was admitted and am now being closely monitored.“In addition to your kind thoughts and prayers for me and everyone else afflicted by this horrible virus, please be extra careful to avoid getting it.
