SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Friends of Anthony Womack, the teenager who died after jumping from Sunset Cliffs Wednesday, spent the morning joining a local car club to wash cars in National City, in exchange for funeral donations."He was just like a happy person," said Sweetwater High School student, Sarah Seineke. "He was always around school laughing. He was really good person to everybody...that's why everyone is so affected by it."When members of Diego Style Car Club heard about Womack's tragic death, they knew they wanted to help.RELATED: Loved ones remember student who died at Sunset CliffsThe crew showed up to the Church of God of Prophecy on Epsilon Street and were set up to begin the washes by 8 a.m. that would go until the afternoon."It's been hard the last couple of days," said Llamas, who's daughter was close friends with Womack and asked for the fundraiser."When your kid hurts, you know we hurt also," he said. "She came to us and she asked us if we could do something for her friend."The community showed up, car after car stopped by the church leaving cash and comforting the teens who have lost someone who meant so much."I hope they remember his vibe as a person," said Seineke. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — For the first time Tuesday, 12-year-old Kiera Latulippe faced the man who killed her entire family in a drunk driving crash. The Valley Center girl was in the car with her family headed to the Austin, Texas, airport after vacation when the drunk driver hit their car head-on. Her father, Scott; mother, Nancy, and 14-year-old brother, Jackson, all died. Kiera was the only one to survive. On Friday, Guy Brasted was sentenced to 18 years in prison. After the sentencing, Kiera and her uncle and legal guardian, Mark Latulippe, took the stand with an emotional message for Brasted. "It made me miss out on so much, like daddy daughter dances," Kiera said, listing the things she can't do now that her family has been ripped away from her. Brasted had a blood alcohol level more than double the legal limit at the time of the crash."My brother, Jackson, and I had something I can never have with someone else, and it kills me to know I will never have that feeling with anyone else. Everyday I think about him," Kiera said.Since the accident happened two years ago, Latulippe has taken his niece into his own care."I can't replace, I'm a fill-in parent for someone who has tragically had everything robbed from her in one moment," Latulippe says.Latulippe is a CHP officer for California Highway Patrol. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — FBI investigators are searching for a woman wanted in two grocery store bank robberies.The woman, described as a Caucasian blonde in her 20s standing about 5-feet 6-inches tall, is believed to be behind two heists in La Mesa and Rolando areas this month.On Sept. 12, investigators say the woman walked into a US Bank inside the Vons grocery store at 6155 El Cajon Blvd. just before 3 p.m. She presented a demand note to the teller and fled with an unknown amount of cash. She was wearing a hat and sunglasses during the incident to hide her identity.RELATED: FBI seeks tips in finding Oak Park bank robberThe suspect wore a grey, long-sleeved sweater, black yoga pants, black sunglasses, and a black hat.Then on Sept. 16, the same woman is believed to have entered the Wells Fargo Bank inside a Vons at 8011 University Ave. in La Mesa just after 10 a.m. Wearing a similar disquise, the woman presented the teller a demand note and fled with cash.No weapons were seen during the robberies, investigators said.Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to call San Diego FBI at 858-320-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1166

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Drivers who travel from northbound Interstate 5 to the Coronado Bridge will be detoured through Barrio Logan this week due to construction.Caltrans crews will shut down the north I-5 connector to SR-75 Monday through Thursday nights to install a debris fence above Chicano Park.Detour signs will guide drivers to exit at Cesar Chavez Parkway, then left to the on-ramp at SR-75 at Logan Avenue.The closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.Check TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. 508
