SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are asking for the public's help in locating a hit-and-run driver who ran over a pedestrian in a wheelchair in the East Village.Police said the pedestrian, a 47-year-old female who was in a wheelchair, was run over at the intersection of F Street and Park Boulevard just before 4 a.m. Saturday. The woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.The vehicle - described as a silver, newer model, SUV - stopped momentarily after running over the woman and her chair, before driving off westbound on F St., police said. The driver then turned northbound on 11th St. and was last seen driving eastbound on E St.Police said the suspected SUV has chrome rims, a tinted sunroof, and possibly tinted windows. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for an 18-year-old at-risk woman who disappeared from her Barrio Logan home on Sunday.Police say Kaedyn Carmon was last seen leaving her home at about 5:50 p.m. She left on foot in an unknown direction after an argument.Carmon is diagnosed with Autism with the mental capacity of a 9- to 11-year-old, police added.She's described as a black/white female with black hair and brown eyes, and about 5-feet, 3-inches tall and 260 pounds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego is one of the least affordable cities for renters, according to a new report by WalletHub. The new report looked at 182 cities around the United States and ranked them based on rental affordability and quality of life. According to the report, San Diego is the 177th least affordable place to rent out of the 182 cities. Only five cities in the U.S., most of them in California, are less affordable than San Diego. Those cities are Santa Ana, Santa Rosa, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Oceanside, California and Hialeah, Florida. However, when it comes to quality of life, San Diego placed 2nd, only topped by Scottsdale, Arizona. Overall, America’s Finest City placed 44th on the list. Although San Diego is expensive, it may be more affordable to buy a home than rent is some areas. A new report found that it is actually more affordable to buy than it is to rent in Chula Vista. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police have released a sketch of an attempted homicide suspect they say tried to rob a man at Emerald Hills Park last month.On July 11 at about 2 p.m., a 23-year-old man was at Emerald Hills Park when an unknown suspect tried to grab his cell phone from a park table. A fight started between the man and suspect before the suspect displayed a box cutter and told the man, "I am going to kill you," police said.The suspect stabbed the man in the left arm with the box cutter and strangled the man, before fleeing the scene. The suspect was last seen walking into a canyon near KeltonRoad and State Route 94.The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and was treated for the cut to his left arm requiring 18 staples.The suspect was described as a Black male, about 40 years old, standing about 6-feet tall, and weighing 170 pounds. He has a thin mustache and goatee, and had "Jaundice" or yellowing to the white portion of his eyes, police said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Gas & Electric customers across San Diego County are on standby Thursday for possible power outages due to an increased risk of fire. About 34,000 homes and businesses received 48 hours' notice of the possible shut-off to lower the hazard posed by power lines, according to SDG&E. The utility company issued two additional notices Thursday and downgraded the number of affected customers to about 18,000 at 4:45 p.m."Notifications are made via multiple channels: outbound dialer calls, text messages, and emails. "You have to make sure that it [the generator] is working so that we have some power. Get us through this little event.
