BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- President Xi is set to pay a state visit to the U.S., which is a milestone event in the history of China-U.S. relations.
Xi said China is willing to conduct human rights dialogue with the United States based on equality and mutual respect, so as to expand consensus, narrow differences, learn from each other, and make progress together.
-- The two sides should deepen dialogue and cooperation in Asia-Pacific affairs.
China has lifted 439 million people out of poverty and made remarkable progress in areas of education, health and women's welfare over the past 30-plus years since the country embarked on reform and opening-up, Xi said.
China will also host 30,000 women from developing countries for training programs in China and provide 100,000 skills training opportunities in local communities of other developing countries, Xi said.
