For his part, King Abdullah said Jordan values the traditional friendship with China and stands ready to boost cooperation with China in pursuit of common development and prosperity.
He urged the practical implementation of a joint statement issued after the 4th round six-party talks in Beijing on Sept. 19, 2005 and relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, saying China opposes any action that may lead to tensions in the region.
"China's NPC is ready to work with parliaments of other countries and international parliamentary organizations to make new contribution to building a better world," he noted.
China's great development achievements over the past decades have benefited the world, he said.
Development of leasing businesses involving high-end equipment imports, clean energy and people's livelihood should be sped up. Establishment of leasing businesses for small enterprises and agricultural development should be encouraged, the statement said.
