A family was removed from a Southwest flight after their 3-year-old son with autism refused to wear a face mask, as required by the airline’s policy.Alyssa Sadler was traveling with her son and 1-year-old daughter from Midland to Houston, Texas. She was visiting her husband who works in Midland, according to media reports."It was just not a good morning," said Sadler. "He was screaming. He was throwing a fit. He was screaming no, no, no,” Sadler told KPRC in Houston.The plane had just left the gate when it reportedly turned back around when it became clear the young boy was not going to wear a mask. Sadler and her kids were then removed.“When you get kicked off your flight because your 3 year old autistic child won’t wear a mask... looks like I’m stuck here in midland,” Sadler posted on Facebook. “I’m literally disgusted by how my son was treated and how i was treated.”Sadler’s son doesn’t like his face being touched, and she carries a medical note explaining the condition.Southwest’s mask policy applies to passengers 2 and older, and the face covering must be worn the duration of the flight. The airline says there are no exceptions to this policy."What we have concluded is there shouldn't be any exceptions, because the exception could be someone who has the virus," Southwest CEO Gary Kelly told CNN.Sadler has no problem with masks, but believes there should be exceptions in certain situations.“I think there needs to be something in place for children or even adults with disabilities who can’t wear a mask. They should have some kind of exemption,” she told KPRC.The FAA has not issued a federal policy about masks on planes, and it is up to the individual airline to make a decision and enforce it. 1732

A Las Vegas doctor says plastic surgery is on the rise nationwide as more young people are suffering from a new disorder called "Snapchat Dysmorphia."According to an article published in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, doctors are seeing more patients request a thinner nose, fuller lips and eyelid surgery.Dr. Daliah Wachs said those who suffer from this disorder feel that their face or body is flawed, solely based on what they see on social media.Apps like Snapchat and Instagram allow users to manipulate their photos using filters that can do things like enhance lighting or even slim your face or body. Wachs said this is concerning because social media users can lose touch with reality, feeling that the filtered selfies are how someone should look all the time and think surgery is the answer.According to Wachs, the most common minimally invasive cosmetic procedures reported were: 937

A Florida woman is desperate to resolve a smelly situation. No one will remove the 9-foot dead gator out of her Loxahatchee backyardThis story has all the ingredients for "Only in Florida."  A homeowner in Loxahatchee said she found a dead gator on her property on Friday, and the smell is overwhelming. Her husband first noticed it while mowing the lawn days ago, and she is still at a loss with what to do next. Stacey Rutherford can barely uncover her mouth long enough to describe the stench of a dead alligator in the canal on her property. "It’s gross. It’s gross I just want it gone," she said. "You can't make it up!"Rutherford called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for help and she said they told her to "climb in there and poke it with a stick!"The recommendation to sink it actually stunned her."Ummmmm I told them that I would not be poking it," she said. FWC said every circumstance is different, but officers don't come to pick up decomposing carcasses. Adding that the alligator nuisance hotline will give suggestions on how to let the gas out of the gator, but ultimately, it's the homeowner's responsibility to do that. The other option...simply wait it out. Rutherford said she asked FWC if she could shoot it instead of going in the water. "If she were to shoot it, that's like poking a hole into the belly, which may help release the gases and let it sink,  but she would have to consult with law enforcement to make sure she is not breaking any laws getting into trouble," said wildlife expert David Hitzig Neighbors said the stench is unbearable. "You forget and then you get that big strong whiff," said Raymond Velloza, who lives across the street from where the gator is.  Rutherford says bottom line she can't take the smell any more. "I’m begging for somebody to help. I mean, I’ve called everybody," she said. "Nature should take it’s course in somebody else’s backyard, not mine."Options are limited in this type of situation.
