Living in a shelter, the single mom is trying to get back on her feet.She was one of the first people working at the "Dignity Food Truck" in Vero Beach."I've just been making food, certain dishes, just learning. (The organizers) give you on the job training and actually give you a job," said Smith.Set up by the Source, a Christian Ministry outreach in Vero Beach, it is a new program for the homeless and unemployed."What our students lack is real-time training in front of real customers. That's what Dignity Food Truck gives them. It gives them real exposure in real-time, made-to-order food," said Anthony Zorbaugh, the executive director of the Source.Chef Henry Restrepo said this is his most important mission in two decades of cooking."We train them for the culinary so they can get their life back," said Restrepo.Money raised goes back into the program.The truck was made possible by a 0,000 grant from the philanthropic group Impact 100."We love the mission. We love the project itself. UNION, Ky. — A 17-year-old girl faked a school shooting threat at Ryle High School in Union, Kentucky because she didn't want to go to class on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office. Classes are still on, but she'll get her wish. The girl was arrested Tuesday night and booked into the Campbell County Juvenile Detention Center. The threat, which deputies said she made herself but pretended to have received via Snapchat, was the fourth of its kind targeted at Ryle in just two days. Three other teenagers — two 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old — were arrested Monday for making "terroristic threats."The girl's mother called police Tuesday night, Sgt. Philip Ridgell wrote in the news release. She believed her daughter had just received a threat reading, "since nobody showed up to school today just sat till tomorrow, i'm going to drive past the cafeteria during 3rd lunch and just shoot non stop."In reality, Ridgell said, the girl had created it. Deputies who questioned her about the threat noted inconsistent responses and ultimately learned she had posted it to her own Snapchat story because she did not want to go to school.After confessing, she tried to flee on foot. Deputies caught her, arrested her and took her to the detention center."We will continue with classes tomorrow as normal," Boone County Schools wrote in an emailed statement. "We will continue to have additional staff and law enforcement on campus to help our staff and students feel safe." 1553

Twitter has flagged President Donald Trump’s Monday evening tweet for being “misleading” after the president said a recent Supreme Court decision regarding tomorrow’s election will “induce violence.”Trump’s tweet said, “The Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania is a VERY dangerous one. UPDATE: Tuesday's meeting was canceled due to an illness.SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - On Tuesday night, the City of San Diego's Parks and Recreation Department will present two options for redeveloping the De Anza area to the Mission Bay Park Committee.The meeting is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. at Mission Bay High School.The two plans were released to the public over the summer. Both feature improvements to sports fields, the Mission Bay Golf Course, green space, walking paths, playgrounds and beaches. Both also have new wildlife habitat areas included, although they vary on how many acres (27 or 38).
