A Ypsilanti teen says he worked hard to buy the car of his dreams, only to find out the car he had bought from a man on Craigslist was registered as stolen. Daniel O’Bryan has been balancing high school and his job at a grocery store for the past two years. He saved up enough money to buy a 2008 Trail Blazer from a man on Craigslist. O’Bryan and his family thought through their research. “My husband checked all three spots on the car to make sure the VIN number matched with the title that the gentleman had, and everything came back fine there were no red flags or anything,” O’Bryan’s mother, Kathy O’Bryan said.It was not until they had taken the car to the Michigan Secretary of State that they found out the car was listed as stolen. The rightful owner of the car is Sal’s Auto Parts out of Detroit. He was trying to get away from them, I guess… and he fell & then they very violently attacked him.Trump added, “He probably would've been killed."Trump’s statement was in line with claims made by Rittenhouse’s attorney, who said that the shootings were in self-defense.Rittenhouse "has suddenly found himself at the center of a national firestorm and charged with murder after defending himself from a relentless, vicious and potentially deadly mob attack in Kenosha, Wisconsin,” attorney John Pierce of Pierce Bainbridge said in a statement last week.The exact circumstances that led to last week’s shooting are unclear, but several videos posted on social media have given investigators some insight.One of the videos appeared to show Rittenhouse scuffling with demonstrators before firing several shots. A student at Monroe Middle School in Michigan is facing possible charges after bringing an inactive grenade to school and threatening to "blow up the school."Police were called to the school after the student showed the device to other students and made the threatening statements. Later interviews determined that he has shown it to others multiple times during the day.A school resources officer searched the student's locker and located the grenade. He noticed that it had been modified to make it incapable of detonating.Further inspection confirmed the device was not capable of exploding and did not pose a threat to anyone.The student was removed from class and taken into custody. He has been placed in the Monroe County Youth center for possession of a device that is represented as an explosive or bomb.Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Monroe Police Department. 919
