An F-16 fighter jet intercepted a plane that was flying in a restricted area during President Trump's rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, Wednesday afternoon.North American Aerospace Defense Command officials say the plane was intercepted around 2 p.m. after officials noticed it had entered the Temporary Flight Restriction area surrounding Bullhead City.Officials say the violating aircraft did not respond to initial intercept procedures, but established radio communications after NORAD aircraft deployed signal flares.Authorities say the aircraft was escorted out of the restricted area by the F-16 without further incident. 634

An attorney for Siraj Wahhaj said he has seen no evidence to support the allegation that his client's children were being trained on a New Mexico compound to carry out school shootings.Wahhaj was one of five adults arrested on August 3 on the compound outside of Taos following the discovery of 11 malnourished children -- nine of whom were Wahhaj's. The five adults each face 11 counts of child abuse.The remains of a young boy were found on the compound on August 6, but it's still not clear if they belong to Wahhaj's missing son, Abdul-Ghani.In court documents, New Mexico prosecutors said the adults were training the children to commit school shootings. But Wahhaj's lawyer, Thomas Clark, said that he has seen nothing in evidence so far to support the accusation.If anything, the children were trained to protect the compound, Clark said.Wahhaj and his four co-defendants are scheduled to appear in a Taos courtroom Monday afternoon for a preliminary hearing.The-CNN-Wire 986

AMPA, Fla. — Tampa police have charged a mother with first-degree murder after police say she drowned her daughter in the Hillsborough River, killing her.Shakayla Denson, 26, has been arrested and charged with first-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of 4-year-old Je'Hyrah Daniels. She also faces a charge of grand theft auto.Denson made a first appearance in court on Friday morning.  A judge set no bond on the charges of murder and child abuse.Tampa Police officers responded around 4:06 p.m. local time Thursday after receiving reports of a woman who drowned a child in the river just north of the Columbus Drive bridge. The dive team also responded to the scene where they pulled Je'Hyrah from the water around 4:30 p.m. She was discovered approximately 75 feet from the shore. Emergency services rushed her to St. Joseph's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Police say Denson was located walking nearby when they took her into custody. Investigators say Denson had just stolen a car - a grey Nissan Altima - from a nearby auto repair shop. She parked the car on Rome Avenue just north of Aileen Street. Witness AccountsAccording to an arrest affidavit released Friday morning, two witnesses said Denson "forcefully pushed Je'Hyrah into the back seat of the Nissan Altima." One of the witnesses attempted to stop Denson from leaving but was struck by the Altima as she left. Two other witnesses told police they saw Denson near Aileen St W and Rome Avenue N where she "forcefully removed Je'Hyrah from the back seat of the Altima by the arm." They said as Denson pulled Je'Hyrah she was "screaming loudly and not cooperating." Denson then went into the Hillsborough River while holding both of Je'Hyrah's arm until the water reached her shoulders.Vicki Walker lives on the 3rd floor of the Dockside Condos in Tampa, directly facing where police say Je'Hyrah was drowned.She told said that she never saw the child, but spotted a woman walking out of water not long before police arrived.“Which was very odd, I’ve lived here for years, I’ve never seen anybody in the river," she said.Walker took a photo of the woman in the river.Walker says that the woman was by herself and that she watched her walk out of the river onto the bank, where she says the woman sat for a while.“There’s a part of me that’s like ‘oh my gosh, why didn’t I run over there? Why didn’t I talk to this person? An alleged sex-trafficking victim was able to escape her captors by jumping out of an 18-wheeler Wednesday night.The Cisco Police Department says around 9 p.m., officers responded to a call of a female who had been seriously injured near the Flying J/Denny's on IH-20.Police say the female injured herself after jumping from an 18-wheeler. She told officers she had been kidnapped in El Paso.It is believed that the perpetrators were going to use the female in sex trafficking operations.The Cisco Fire Department, Cisco EMS and DPS Troopers were also on-scene. The female was transported to a medical facility for treatment of her injuries.The 18-wheeler is described as a green truck tractor with a white stripe and pulling a white box-type trailer. It is occupied by three men.Another female is reportedly still in the truck and maybe in grave danger.A statewide broadcast was issued last night by Cisco PD in an attempt to locate the truck. Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the authorization of a brand new rapid COVID-19 test that people can take themselves at home."I think that it’s better to have a faster test than a slower one. People tend to abide by the public health recommendation to self-isolate if they have actual data in a reliable timeframe. The danger is that we’re asking people to do this at home. It's not in a controlled setting like a laboratory," says Dr. Amber Schmidtke, a public health microbiologist.Dr. Schmidtke says there are still questions about how this new rapid at-home test will be interpreted by health officials."I actually don't expect them to report it. I would be surprised. You know, most people don't report a home pregnancy test to our Department of Public Health, for example. But I think this is going to be treated much in the same way as a home pregnancy test. You know, if you call your doctor and say, 'I tested positive at home,' they're going to repeat that test as soon as you come in," says Dr. Schmidtke.The test, which a doctor will have to prescribe, will provide valuable information to people, as long as it is administered correctly."What if they don't do it very well? You have to put it in your nose and rub it around both nares. You have to put it in, swirl it around 15 times. You have to let it sit there for 30 seconds. You have to know which button to read. There's lots of things that can go wrong and so if the test is misunderstood and you don't have a professional looking over your shoulder, it could result in some unfortunate things," says Dr. Stuart Ray, a professor at Johns Hopkins University and infectious disease expert.Dr. Ray hopes people will use the test correctly so that it really does help prevent COVID-19 transmission in the community."What if they use that to decide that they're now negative after exposure so therefore it's safe to go out before their isolation or quarantine ends.
