SOLON, Ohio — An Ohio police department is warning of a Netflix email phishing scam that is asking people to update their payment details after one of their officers, who doesn't even have a Netflix account, received the email.The city of Solon, Ohio Police Department put out the warning, saying criminals want you to click the links so that you voluntarily give out your personal information. The links also could install malware on your computer.In a photo, the very real-looking email it asks users to update their payment details, saying the account is on hold."Hi Dear, We're having some trouble with your current billing information. We'll try again, but in the meantime you may want to update your payment details," the email reads, with a link to update the account.Netflix said if you believe you have received a fraudulent email appearing to be from the company, never enter your details, never click on any links and do not reply to it. South Korea said Saturday that North Korea has accepted its proposal to hold high-level inter-Korean talks next week.In a statement, South Korea's Unification Ministry said the talks are planned for Thursday.The talks were first proposed by South Korea to be held in the Panmunjom truce village in the Korean Demilitarized Zone.North Korea said it will be represented by a three-member delegation led by Ri Son Kwon, chairman of the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland Committee.South Korea stated earlier that its three-member delegation will be led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon.The announcement came a day after South Korean President Moon Jae-in teased the possibility of another meeting, this one among the United States, North Korea and South Korea.Moon said negotiations are continuing ahead of the "historic talks" planned for next month with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. He's expected to meet with Kim in April, the first time the North Korean leader has publicly met with a foreign head of state."Through these talks and future talks, we must end the nuclear and peace issue on the Korean Peninsula. It is necessary to make it possible for the two Koreas to live together peacefully without interfering with each other or damaging each other," Moon said this week.The meeting between Moon and Kim is just a warm-up for the main event, however, with US President Donald Trump accepting an invitation to meet with the North Korean leader sometime before the end of May.It will be the first time a sitting US president has met with a member of North Korea's ruling Kim family.  1618

Several Hilltown, Pennsylvania, police officers helped save a distressed horse from a burning barn last week, which was captured by an officer’s body-worn camera.Officer Matthew Reiss told KYW-TV that he did not have much time to get Phoebe the horse out of the barn."Quickly improvise, and come up with a solution to get that animal out,” Reiss said.Other horses were in the barn at the time of the fire and were rescued by friends and family, but Phoebe was reportedly too spooked to follow.That’s when the officers and horse trainer Lena Obernesser teamed to get Phoebe out. Obernesser used a shirt to cover her eyes and push the horse to safety as Reiss used a rope to pull Phoebe to safety. Phoebe then ran to safety."She was definitely terrified, the cops were fantastic though, they jumped right in,” Obernesser told KYW. “I saw the footage and I was just in awe. Like oh my God, thank God they were here."Obernesser credited the officers for rescuing Phoebe.“They really stepped up, we had so many people reaching out,” she said. “it was, I was so proud to be a part of this community."After a week, Phoebe is reportedly in good health. The condition of the barn is still being calculated, but members of the community have started a fundraiser to help the Red Wing Farm care for their horses. 1309

And the types of gifts are changing, too."There is no question that 2020 has been built around this pandemic. In every way our life has changed from how we work, to how we live, to, of course, how we shop. And this year we have seen the rise in COVID-related gifts," said Michael Parrish DuDell, Chief Strategy Officer for CouponFollow. CouponFollow conducted a Black Friday shopping survey and found 39% of surveyed shoppers say they're going to gift a face covering to their loved ones."About 33-34% expect to be giving some type of hand sanitizer. So, this year, the stockings might be full not so much of candy but of these more COVID-related products," said DuDell.CouponFollow also looked at how much money people will be spending this holiday season, and broke it down by generation. Millennials and Generation Z plan to spend more money, while Baby Boomers plan to spend less.The National Retail Federation found that, overall, people plan to spend ,000, which is less than last year. "Most of that decrease, , is coming from people saying, 'No, I'm going to spend on gifts, I'm going to spend on holiday items, but I might hold off on 'treat myself'-type purchases," said Katherine Cullen, Senior Director for Industry and Consumer Insights at the National Retail Federation.Cullen also said slightly more people than last year, about 60%, will be shopping online this holiday season, as well as using features like curbside pickup. But that still leaves a lot of people shopping in person."What we found is that people were willing to take that risk (of shopping in-person) but that 86-89% of folks say they know it's a little bit risky to shop, but 36% overall, that includes all the generations, about 36% say that they in fact are going to show up and a large portion of that is going to be the Baby Boomer generation," said DuDell.The NRF survey also showed a shift in the types of gifts people will be purchasing this year."You know, gifts of experience have been a real trend the last few years, but with everyone at home you can’t do as many of those experiences so we’re seeing a return to kind of buying physical things," said Cullen.Regardless of what you buy or how you buy it, the NRF is encouraging people to shop early this year, as many mail services and the post office could be inundated with online shopping deliveries. 2460
