Workers at a restaurant in Ohio refused to complete a catering order for troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol amid civil unrest over the death of George Floyd. The restaurant chain, Condado Tacos, closed its Columbus-area locations on Tuesday after workers accused the restaurant of firing them for not completing the order. Columbus has had its share of unrest since Thursday night, when protesters broke out the windows to a number of downtown businesses and government buildings.According to the restaurant, one of its restaurants received a catering order that was placed by the Ohio Highway Patrol, with a number of workers refusing to fulfill the order. The restaurant said that management communicated that workers who were uncomfortable with completing the order did not have to work on the order. The restaurant said that a few employees chose not to finish their shifts, and that no one will lose their jobs as a result of Monday’s incident. “Condado was built as a place for everyone, without judgment or fear,” the restaurant said in a statement. “A place where originality and being unique are embraced. We are also a family that cares for and about each other. From the first day we opened our doors, we have included all people as employees and as guests in the Condado world. We want to be clear that we stand against racism – always have and always will.”The decision to close on Tuesday affected six locations.  Spotify and Hulu are joining forces in an attempt to draw more subscribers to their platforms.The companies said Wednesday that a .99 per-month plan will get you access to Spotify's ad-free music streaming service and Hulu's basic package that allows you to stream TV shows and movies with some ad breaks.Paying for both services separately would set you back about — .99 for Spotify Premium and .99 for Hulu.The 71 million people who already have a .99-per-month Spotify Premium subscription will be able to grab the offer beginning Wednesday with an even steeper discount for the first three months. They'll be able to try out the Hulu subscription for .99 -- just one dollar more per month.The .99 offer will be extended to everyone this summer. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Several homes were evacuated and a bomb squad called to the scene after hundreds of rounds of ammo were discovered inside a Mira Mesa home Wednesday night. Authorities were called to the home on Avenida Del Gato and Valdosta Ave between 4 and 5 p.m. According to San Diego Police, a man was cleaning his deceased relative’s home when he found the ammo. Also discovered inside the home were mortar rounds and rocket rounds. Military ordnance experts, FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were all called to the home. So far, authorities say they’re about 75 percent through the investigation. All the items discovered inside the home are so far inert, Jeff Ring, Commander of the Bomb Squad told 10News. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department says six nearby homes had to be evacuated. A total of 14 adults and one child who live nearby had to leave. At this time, it’s unclear when residents will be allowed to return. 975

Gavin Newsom says the state will halt sales of new gasoline-powered passenger cars and trucks by 2035.On Wednesday, he ordered state regulators to come up with requirements to meet that goal. California would be the first state with such a rule, though Germany and France are among 15 other countries that have a similar requirement.Newsom's plan would not ban people from owning gas-powered cars or selling them on the used car market, but it would end the sales of all new gasoline-powered passenger cars and trucks in the state.California already has rules mandating a certain percentage of new car sales be electric or zero-emission vehicles. 678

Throughout the filming of the pilot, I experienced Racial Discrimination/Racially Charged inappropriate comments from the hair department and bullying from Executive Producers. During the Season, it continued along with Sexual Harassment from a recurring guest star and the racist commentary & bullying from the Hair Dept. Head escalated into Sexual Assault at our Wrap party.The Sexual Harassment though reported directly to the Showrunner/EP remained undocumented and was not reported to HR as promised. The Hair Dept. Head was fired ONLY after the sexual assault and NOT for an entire year of outward racism/racially charged language and bullying behavior in and out of the Hair and Makeup trailer. HR protocol was never adhered to following the above reports given by me to my Showrunner/EP and an investigation was never issued for any of my claims. The only time I was asked to participate in an investigation was after a meeting I called in June following our Season 2 announcement. This meeting included the Showrunner and two other producers as well as my agent and SAG-AFTRA Union Rep. It was clear to all present in the meeting that the Showrunner had not shared my reports with the any of the producers. After my initial report of sexual harassment, I was assured that the actor would be fired. I was also asked to film with him the very next day as a courtesy to the script, even though we had not begun filming the episode yet. This actor reappeared on our call sheet at the end of the season, I was even written in scenes with him. I asked the Showrunner about this and he admitted to me that the actor had not been fired nor had he gotten HR involved. I was asked to return this season, and promised that “everything was handled.” The investigation hadn’t even begun and Season 2 had already started filming. I turned it down and I walked. Now is the best time in the world to be a woman and I have a platform so it’s time to use my Voice. Strength comes from within.
