(CNN) - Eager to catch an elusive killer, authorities released a composite sketch Thursday of a suspect in the drive-by shooting of a 7-year-old girl.Jazmine Barnes was killed while riding in a car with her family Sunday morning. Since then, the Texas girl's senseless death has garnered nationwide attention.Tips have poured in to investigators in the Houston area, but the gunman is still on the loose.The sketch was compiled from descriptions given by Jazmine's mother and three sisters, who were also in the car. Authorities said a man in a red or maroon pickup drove up next to them around 7 a.m. and opened fire for no apparent reason.The Harris County Sheriff's Office also released an enhanced surveillance video of the suspect's pickup."We're not going to rest until we find justice for Jazmine," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters.The sketch shows a white man in his 40s with a 5 o'clock shadow. He was driving a red, extended-cab pickup.'My baby is not responding at all'In an interview with CNN, Jazmine's sister, Alexis Dilbert, and mother, LaPorsha Washington, recalled the truck pulled up to their passenger side before going around to Washington's driver's side as the family made an early morning coffee run."I didn't even hear the first gunshot. All I remember is my glass shattering on my window, and then I heard the shots go off," said Washington, 30."I think I'm hit in my arm," Washington recalled saying to her daughters. She was later hospitalized for her injury.Washington said she realized Jazmine had been shot after Alexis, who is 15, called Jazmine's name and she didn't answer."When she said Jazmine the third time, I turned the light on in the car and turned around and looked at my baby," Washington said. "She was leaned over on the door and blood was everywhere."Washington told another daughter, who was in the backseat with Jazmine and her 6-year-old sister, to call 911.She told Alexis, who was in the front seat, to search the internet for the nearest hospital: It was seven minutes away.Washington said she made a U-turn and hopped back on the Sam Houston Tollway, speeding, heading for the hospital.But her car started to shake."When my car started to shake, I told my babies ... She laughed recalling the memories of her daughter.She said Jazmine was her "love child," who would hug and kiss everyone, even strangers. But upon further inspection, he discovered that nothing was missing and his home was sparkling clean.Nate Roman lives in a single-family home in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Roman tells CNN he left for work the morning of May 15 and came home from picking up his son to find his door was unlocked."[My son said], 'Dad! The door is unlocked.' Which I have done once every blue moon and didn't think anything of it. But when we walked in immediately there was a vibe that something was wrong in the house."He realized that someone may have been in his home because a door he normally keeps open was firmly shut. Roman then went upstairs to check the rest of the house.He discovered his son's room, which was a wreck when they left that morning, was neat as a pin. He found his room in the same pristine condition."Rugs were vacuumed, everything was neat and put away," Roman said.He immediately called the police, and they took the incident very seriously. They cleared the house to make sure no one was still there.Police told CNN affiliate WBZ-TV that they spoke with the neighbors and no one saw anything suspicious. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The clock is ticking as family members of Suzanne Johnson wait to see if Governor Jerry Brown will grant clemency before he leaves office Monday. Six-month-old Jasmine Miller died while under the care of Johnson at her home daycare center in North Park in 1997. Johnson found guilty of assaulting Jasmine and sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutors argued Johnson was frustrated by the baby's crying, pointing to the accepted signs of Shaken Baby Syndrome: Bleeding behind the eyes, and bleeding and swelling in the brain."We've seen a major shift in the science of Shaken Baby Syndrome," said Mike Semanchik, managing attorney with the California Innocence Project at California Western School of Law.According to Semanchik, "based on the science we know now, the jury at the time would not have found Suzanne Johnson guilty." Medical consensus now says those telltale signs of shaken baby syndrome can be caused by various medical conditions and accidental falls from short heights.Johnson says Jasmine fell out of her high chair but seemed okay, before becoming unresponsive hours later."The evidence supports an equal theory for a fall, as it does for an intentional act," said Semanchik.The science has not been enough to persuade the courts. All appeals for a new trial have been rejected."Missing her has been pretty horrific," said Sharon Johnson, Suzanne's daughter-in-law. She describes her mother-in-law as a loving woman who has remained positive, leading bible study and other groups in prison. We just want her home," said Sharon Johnson.
