(KGTV) - The San Diego-based company behind a popular bracelet is in hot water after customers say their advertising falsely led them to believe purchases benefited Costa Rican artists.Pura Vida Bracelets, founded in San Diego by Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, started out selling bracelets advertised as being made in Costa Rica and benefiting local artisans. Since then, the bracelets have been featured by celebrities and become a popular accessory. This week, the company sent emails to customers apologizing for any confusion over their products. In the email, Pura Vida said they have received customer feedback that their marketing caused confusion as to whether their products are all hand-made in Costa Rica. 765

(KGTV) - Many newlyweds rely on Target for wedding gifts to furnish their home — or in one couple's case, to play backdrop to the wedding memories that will furnish their Target-bought decor.Mike Delvalle and Isabella Sablan said Target always had a special place in their relationship and was "naturally our first inclination" as a place to display their love before saying "I do.""We dated for almost 8 years before we finally tied the knot and we have always been that rather unconventional couple which is why this photo-shoot is befitting. If you ask any of our friends, none of them would be surprised that we chose to do this at Target — that's how obsessed we are," Delvalle and Sablan said in a joint statement.RELATED: World's oldest message in a bottle found 132 years later in AustraliaThe couple is photographed perusing down aisles, picking up pizzas and home decor, sharing a slushie, and enjoying a day at their favorite retail store.Evan Rich, of Evan Rich Photography, said while the entire shoot shied away from typical wedding photos, he believes they were just as powerful."It is very trendy at the moment to take couples on grand outdoor adventures to photograph them in epic aspirational settings such as mountain tops with sweeping vistas," Rich said in an email. "But the truth is that there is a lot of love in our everyday life in much more mundane settings, yet settings that have much more of a personal connection to us because they are true to life."RELATED: Massachusetts police, firefighters save puppy choking on foodIf Delvalle and Sablan had it their way, their wedding photos wouldn't be the extent of their marital celebration..."It’s too bad we can’t throw our reception in Target because then that would truly be the frosting on the Market Pantry cake," the couple said. 1898

100 days to go before a presidential election, is usually the start of the final sprint before election day. During a pandemic however, uncertainty looms. QUESTION #1 Will voters be engaged? With conventions scaled back or canceled, rallies most likely not taking place and door knocking reduced, campaigns are going to have to get creative on how they reach viewers. Zoom has a place, but is the novelty wearing off?QUESTION #2Who will Joe Biden pick for VP?While this question would be asked in a non-pandemic year, it still is one of the biggest questions in the campaign. QUESTION #3Will mail-in balloting create chaos? In many states, voters will be voting in different ways this election. Are election offices ready? Will it create legal challenges? FINAL THOUGHTS All of this is creating uncertainty and setting the stage to make the presidential debates the most consequential this election. 907

(SAN DIEGO, KGTV) -- Ahead of next week's United Nations Climate Summit, 10News is taking a deeper look at the effects of climate change. Since 1900, global sea level has risen 8 inches, dramatically increasing the odds of coastal flooding and damaging floods from storm surge. According to Climate Central, nearly 5 million people live less than 4 feet above high tide across the United States, and scientists expect roughly another 2 to 7 more feet of sea level rise this century.Imperial Beach is one of the most vulnerable in California to sea-level rise as it experiences flooding during periods of extreme high tides and winter swell. 10News looked into a program designed to give people ample warning, called The Resilient Futures program. The goal is to create a flood alert system through a network of instruments to measure local wave and water levels monitored by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography giving scientists and emergency managers a 3 to 4 day head-start to help determine where extreme tides may occur."It is something people are concerned about, and they want to know how often is this likely to occur. As sea levels continue to rise, what’s the change and risk as time goes on.” says Mark Merrifield, the Director of the Coastal Data Information Program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He goes on to say, “just like it helps to have a weather forecast if there’s going to be an extreme rain event or wind event coming up. More and more there’s going to be the value of an ocean flooding event.'A bouy is already two miles off the coast of Imperial Beach transmitting data back to scientists and they hope to one day expand the program to other beaches. 1696
