Now, new research says their personalities end up matching, too!Dog owner Michael Wolz says he shares similar personality traits to his 9-year-old golden doodle, Jack. "He's a big, lazy guy. Likes to lay around,” Wolz describes of Jack. “He likes to bounce off the walls when he gets a chance, too. But other than that, he's just trying to take it easy." A new study out by Michigan State University found that it's actually very common for pet owners and their dogs to take on each other’s personalities. Pet owner Annie Ernst feels she and her dog, Harper, are one in the same. "I always want to be in the know about everything and be involved and go up to people and say hi, and she is the same way," Ernst says. Ernst says her and Harper were compatible from the start. "I feel like she picked us," she says. Both Ernst and Wolz say they love sharing similar personality traits with their dogs and feels it brings them closer together. 1033

(AP) — Native American comic book fans hope a new Marvel anthology by Native artists and writers will jump-start authentic representation in mainstream superhero fare. “Marvel Voices: Indigenous Voices #1” is expected in November during Native American History Month and will revisit some of its Native characters. Marvel says the project was planned long before the nation’s reckoning over racial injustice, which has prompted changes like the Washington NFL team dropping its Redskins mascot. But he's won an ugly one.The bug-eyed, dreadlocked pooch took top honors Friday night at the 31st annual World's Ugliest Dog Contest.Owner Yvonne Morones of Santa Rosa, California, won an appearance with Scamp on the "Today" show, ,500 in cash, another ,500 to donate to an animal shelter — and a trophy the size of a Rottweiler."He's Scamp the Champ, no longer Scamp the Tramp," Morones told the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat after the victory. (AP) -- Starbucks is adding plant-based meat to its U.S. menu for the first time.The Seattle-based coffee chain says a breakfast sandwich made with imitation sausage from California-based Impossible Foods is now available at a majority of its U.S. restaurants. The sandwich comes with egg and cheese and is served on a ciabatta bun.Starbucks said earlier this year it would add plant-based meat to its menus worldwide as part of an effort to reduce its environmental impact.In April, it began selling lasagna, pasta and wraps made with Beyond Meat crumbles in China.
