The entire cast of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films signed an open letter in support of James Gunn, the director of the series' first two films.Gunn was recently fired as the director of the upcoming third movie after it was revealed he made a number of offensive jokes on Twitter between 2008 and 2012.We are not here to defend his jokes of many years ago but rather to share our experience having spent many years together on that set making Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2. The Collective Brewing project has teamed up with Lone Star Taps and Caps in Fort Worth, Texas to turn Easter's most polarizing treat—Marshmallow Peeps—into a craft beer. They plan to tap the concoction Friday, March 30 at 6 p.m. at the Taproom in Fort Worth, and they're calling the collaboration "Peep this Collab."On the website, the taste is described as tart and lemon-y and the look is described as a glitter bomb with fabulous sparkle. However, Ryan Deyo, Collective Brewing's head brewer and co-founder said drinkers could expect a "lightly tart" and marshmallow-y" taste from the beer on guidelive.Regardless of the flavor, Deyo said they mashed 30 boxes of peeps into a beer brewed with sour ale, vanilla and butterfly pea flowers (yes, actual flowers). If that doesn't sound delicious already, the beer will have purple tint thanks to the pea flowers and they will have edible glitter to up the sparkle content. This whole idea is a part of Deyo's passion to make beer for more fun."I've been on a kick to assert beer should be a fun thing," Deyo told guidelive. The Cumberland, Wisconsin High School Class of 2018 got a special shout out from the local police department on an epic senior prank.The police department said on Facebook it was "one of the best senior pranks that Cumberland High School has seen."Students positioned an old junker strewn with loose bricks in front of what appeared to be a gaping black hole in the building's side, just outside the principal's office.It wasn't actually a hole, though. Using tape and a black tarp, the students created the illusion of damage, making it look like the car crashed into the side of the building. The back of the car said, "CHS Class of 2018."The best part? This prank included absolutely no damage at all to school property, which is why police singled it out."Hats off to the Cumberland High School Class of 2018 on your senior prank...Congratulations to all the seniors who are graduating," police said.This isn't the first time the tiny town of Cumberland has been in the viral spotlight. In fact, it's not even the first time this year.Back in January, the school district enlisted the help of former Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean to announce a snow day."Hey there Cumberland Beavers," McLean says in the video. The family of a Rochester, New York man killed during an encounter with police earlier this year, says officers' use of force led to his death as he suffered a mental health crisis.Following the release of the arrest video by Prude's family on Wednesday, protesters called for the city council to pass legislation that would forbid police officers from responding to mental health crises.On March 23, police encountered Daniel Prude in a Rochester street, naked, bleeding and unarmed. According to ABC News, he had been brought to the hospital earlier that evening after experiencing suicidal thoughts and had been subsequently released.Prude initially complied, and officers placed him in handcuffs.With the coronavirus pandemic in its infancy, officers then chose to place a spit hood over Prude's head. The hood appears to agitate Prude, and he asked officers to remove it.Moments later, Prude attempted to stand up, and officers wrestled him back to the ground.Video shows officers pressing Prude's face into the pavement for two minutes.It was then that police realized that Prude had stopped responding. Officers administered CPR, and he was rushed to the hospital.On March 30, Prude died when he was taken off life support."I tell this particular officer that comes to my door (prior to the incident), don't you kill my damn brother," Prude's brother Joe said on Wednesday. "Not even 15 minutes later, he comes back and tells me my brother is dead. You put a bag over his head — what did you put a bag over his head for?"An autopsy from the Monroe County Medical Examiner found that Prude died from complications of asphyxia from physical restraint. He also may have had PCP in his system.The Rochester Police Chief said he ordered criminal and internal investigations following the incident. The case was sent to the New York Attorney General's office, as required by state law when investigating in-custody deaths.None of the officers involved in the incident have been suspended. Protesters in Rochester Wednesday night called for the removal of the officers from the department."A naked and defenseless man lynched and we need to think about that in this moment," activist Stanley Martin said. The first large head-to-head comparison of two opioid addiction medications found that, although they were equally effective in getting people off of high levels of opioids, users had a significantly more difficult time starting a regimen of naltrexone, compared with buprenorphine.Buprenorphine is commonly known by the the brand name Suboxone, and naltrexone is sold under the brand name Vivitrol.The study, published Tuesday in the Lancet, looked at 570 patients with opioid addiction at eight inpatient treatment centers across the country for 24 weeks. Half of the group was assigned to naltrexone and the other half to bupenorphine.Six percent of those enlisted to use buprenorphine were unable to start their treatment, whereas 28% of those assigned to naltrexone dropped out before starting the therapy. 824
