Residents in states hit by Hurricane Laura continue the long recovery to restoring their homes and businesses destroyed in the Category 4 storm.The death toll from Hurricane Laura has risen to 19 people across Louisiana and Texas.Power and water outages were widely reported in the hardest-hit areas, and it is expected to take weeks before the outages are restored.One of the places hit by the storm was Orange, Texas. Strong winds destroyed buildings, downed power lines and uprooted trees.Resident Robert Matthews is an employee at Mowers, Tractors Inc. in Orange. President Donald Trump's ex-wife Ivana doesn't think he should run for reelection in 2020. In an interview with Page Six, Ivana Trump said her ex-husband should instead enjoy his fortunes. “I’ll tell you something, I don’t think it’s necessary,” she told Page Six. “He has a good life and he has everything. Donald is going to be 74, 73 for the next [election] and maybe he should just go and play golf and enjoy his fortune."Ivana Trump was married to Donald from 1977 to 1992. The couple had three children: Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka. Despite being divorced for 26 years, Ivana remains in close contact with the President, saying they talk at least once a month. President Donald Trump's campaign said Tuesday it has filed for arbitration, accusing Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former campaign aide and White House official, of breaching a 2016 nondisclosure agreement with the campaign.The move is the first legal action the Trump campaign has taken since Manigault Newman published a tell-all book about her time as a Trump campaign adviser and senior White House official."Donald J. (KGTV) - A Ramona couple walking their yellow Labrador puppy say they were attacked by two pit bulls Tuesday night, suffering serious injuries.Michael Dougherty was walking with his wife, Dee, in the Kmart parking lot in the 1800 block of Main Street training their puppy, Rueger. Dougherty said it's easier in the parking lot, as there is more light, compared to their rural neighborhood.As they walked toward the Taco Shop, around 7:15 p.m., Dougherty said from the corner of his eye, he saw two pit bulls charging.RELATED: Dog and owner mauled by pit bull during walk in OceansideThey attacked Rueger and his wife, who went down trying to rescue the dog. Dougherty is recovering from a back injury and walks with a cane. He used it as a weapon."I just started beating the dog, beating the dog, until it [the cane] snapped. This fell down alongside the dog and my wife and she grabbed this and was jamming it into the dog's mouth. When this broke I started punching the dog in the head."Eventually they were able to separate all three dogs. No one escaped uninjured. Dougherty described his wife's wounds, "the top fang went in," gesturing at his left cheek, "and the bottom fang went under her chin like this."RELATED: Pit bull comes to defense of injured owner in apartment, chases away attackers"Both arms are bitten up quite a bit, I couldn't even count them there were so many," he continued, saying her hand bore the worst injury. "Her thumb was bitten three quarters of the way around," saying the skin had been pushed up, away from her hand. He was plain vicious."Animal Control confirmed they have a dog in quarantine, and will have the couple identify Friday whether it's the same dog who attacked them.Dougherty has a GoFundMe set up to help with his wife's expenses.
