BRUSSELS, June 3 (Xinhua) -- China hopes Belgium could play a positive role to prompt the European Union (EU) to fulfill its obligations under the World Trade Organization (WTO) system, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said here during a meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.
Yang said that China and Japan should take the opportunity to enhance the positive factors and eliminate the negative ones in the Sino-Japanese relations, upholding the spirit of taking history as a mirror while looking forward to the future.
He said the new French government will continue to pursue its positive and friendly policy toward China, stick to the one-China policy, deepen practical cooperation in such areas as diplomacy, trade and industry as well as in the framework of the Belt and Road construction.
Refuting biased reports on China by some Australian media, Chinese Ambassador to Australia Cheng Jingye told a packed forum in Canberra this week that "those people are not willing to see the continued growth of the friendly cooperation between the two countries and two peoples," and furthermore that some Australian media are trying to "instigate China panic."
