TAMPA, Fla. — Fresh Express Sunflower Crisp Chopped Salad Kits have been linked to a multi-state outbreak of E. coli, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).The CDC says at least eight people from Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota have been infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli O157:H7. While it is the same strain of E. coli carried through romaine lettuce that sickened more than 100 people in multiple states earlier this month, the CDC says it is unclear if the salad kit recall is related. The recalled salad kits do contain romaine lettuce. The affected salad has the following identifying information: UPC 0 71279 30906 4, beginning with lot code Z, and a best-before date up to and including 07DEC19. This information is printed on the front of the bag in the top right corner.

If you have any of the salad kits, the CDC says:Do not eat it.Throw it away.Even if some of the kit was eaten and no one got sick, throw the rest away.Wash and sanitize drawers or shelves in refrigerators where the salad kit was stored. Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner went to a Seattle Safeway grocery store planning to box groceries for nine families as part of a planned charity event. Wagner previously supported the construction of nine "tiny" homes for low income families in Seattle. He was at the Safeway on Tuesday to box up Thanksgiving groceries to continue his support for those families. But Wagner was really in a giving mood. While at the Safeway, Wagner told the store he would pay for everyone's groceries. For 30 minutes, cashiers at the Safeway rang up conveyor belts full of groceries just days before Thanksgiving, with Wagner picking up the tab. To Wagner, the photo op had already ended, and he didn't plan on advertising the good deed. But being a star player for the local NFL team gives one notoriety, and thus quickly the world found out through social media. But by the time news cameras arrived at the Safeway, Wagner was already gone. But on Wednesday, he was asked about what prompted him to spontaneously give back to his fans. “When we were waiting, I saw everyone Thanksgiving shopping and I thought it would be cool if when they went to the cash register they didn’t have to pay,” Wagner told 1211

Runways at the busy airport serving the nation's capital will be closed Thursday during President Donald Trump's Independence Day event, federal authorities said. The Federal Aviation Administration announced Tuesday that operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport would be suspended between 6:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. ET to allow a ceremonial flyover of military aircraft. The runways will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. ET for the annual fireworks display, which is not connected to Trump's "Salute to America." Such a closure is unprecedented for July 4 events, an official said. The launch point for the fireworks has been moved from the National Mall to a nearby park to accommodate Trump's Lincoln Memorial display. The last such runway closure was in 2015 for a commemorative flight of World War II-era planes. The airport's website does not yet list arrivals and departures for Thursday. It showed 73 arrivals and 38 departures scheduled for the same time periods on Tuesday evening.Micah Lillard, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, said officials "anticipate some flights at Reagan National to be affected during the late afternoon and evening."This year's Independence Day festivities will include two fireworks displays and a flyover by the Blue Angels and the plane that serves as Air Force One."We're going to have planes going overhead -- the best fighter jets in the world and other planes, too," Trump said Monday. The FAA said that emergency and medical flights would "be authorized as necessary." 1570
