Next March, the monthly subscription price of Disney+ will increase by in the United States.During its annual Investors Day, Disney announced that beginning March 26, 2021, the monthly subscription price would cost .99. ¡¡¡¡NEW YORK -- Michael Casey is picking up the pieces after some protesters turned violent and destroyed his business, Maxwell¡¯s Bar & Restaurant, in New York City¡¯s Tribeca neighborhood¡°We had to put together a makeshift border so no more looters would come in,¡± he said.This former New York City firefighter served his community for 13 years. When medical issues forced Casey out of the department, he invested his life savings and built this bar with his friends and family.¡°My daughter¡¯s first birthday was there,¡± Casey said. ¡°Her christening was there. It was a real kick to the¡it was tough.¡±Tough, Casey says, both emotionally and financially.Casey says COVID-19 concerns forced him to shut down his business for three months. Without any income, he wasn¡¯t able to pay insurance on his property.¡°We had to pick and choose what we can pay and what we can¡¯t pay to try to get back up on our feet,¡± he said. ¡°One of the costs we were not able to incur was our insurance.¡±After the looting, Casey had to let go of dozens of employees. Now, he¡¯s filing for personal bankruptcy.¡°We¡¯re done. There¡¯s too much destruction,¡± he said. ¡°The bills keep piling up. NEW YORK (AP) ¡ª Apple Music is launching several new radio shows hosted by A-list musical acts, including Snoop Dogg, Shania Twain, and Carrie Underwood. The streaming service announced that it would debut two new radio stations Tuesday: Apple Music Hits focused on popular songs of the '80s, '90s, and 2000s, as well as Apple Music Country, dedicated to the country music genre. ¡°For the past five years, if ever there was a meaningful moment in music culture, Beats 1 was there bringing human curation to the forefront and drawing in listeners with exclusive shows from some of the most innovative, respected, and beloved people in music,¡± said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music, Beats, and International Content in a news release. ¡°Now, Apple Music radio provides an unparalleled global platform for artists across all genres to talk about, create, and share music with their fans, and this is just the beginning. ¡¡¡¡NEW YORK CITY, NY -- New York Police Department Deputy Inspector Stewart Loo says he's going to do something about hate crimes targeting Asian Americans in the city.He says it's close to his heart."This hit home for me because I have friends, families who are legitimately afraid to go outside because they have feared for their safety.¡±The new task force was introduced Tuesday by Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison."This task force has been built and will continue to build trust and understanding between the NYPD and Asian New Yorkers,¡± he said.The task force was put together in response to a rise in hate crime attacks on the Asian community amid the coronavirus pandemic.
