ALABASTER, Ala. — A photographer in Alabama was able to capture the beauty of a rare yellow cardinal that is taking the internet by storm. Jeremy Black took the photograph of the rare yellow bird in Alabaster, Alabama.According to Geoffrey Hill, a bird curator at Auburn University in Alabama, the bird is a rare male northern cardinal that has a "one in a million" genetic mutation that makes its red feathers turn yellow. Additionally, the mutation is so rare, that only one is seen each year in the United States."This yellow cardinal displays a rare mutation causes the metabolic process to produce a different type of pigment than the typical red coloration," Black wrote on his Facebook page.Black says that he was able to photograph the yellow cardinal after his friend, Charlie Stephenson, noticed the bird at her feeder in January. According to National Geographic, on February 17, Black spent five hours in Stephenson's backyard with a camera in hand, hoping the beautiful bird would make a second appearance. "As soon as it landed, I was starstruck," Black told National Geographic. After repeated calls for him to do so, Mark Zuckerberg has decided he will testify before Congress.Facebook sources tell CNNMoney the 33-year-old CEO has come to terms with the fact that he will have to testify before Congress within a matter of weeks, and Facebook is currently planning the strategy for his testimony.The pressure from lawmakers, the media and the public has become too intense to justify anything less.The Facebook sources believe Zuckerberg's willingness to testify will also put pressure on Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to do the same. A wooden sculpture of First Lady Melania Trump in her Slovenian hometown was burned by vandals on the Fourth of July, CNN and Reuters report.Brad Downey, the American, Berlin-based artist that commissioned the sculpture, said he received a call from officials in Sevnica, Slovenia, on July 5, who informed him that the statue had been badly burned the night before.Downey said he immediately had the statue removed and filed a police report. But he told CNN that he wasn't interested in pressing charges against those responsible."I would be curious to see who did it," Downey told CNN.In recent weeks, President Donald Trump has taken a hard line against vandals who have toppled statues and monuments to historical figures with ties to slavery or imperialism. In a divisive speech at Mt. Rushmore on July 3, Trump called those toppling such monuments as a part of a "far-left fascism" that aimed to "end America."The statue was erected in 2019 when Downey commissioned a local woodworker to carve the 25-foot sculpture out of a fallen tree trunk. While the sculpture's face isn't immediately identifiable as Melania Trump, she's depicted wearing the light-blue dress she wore to her husband's Inauguration in 2017.According to Reuters, Downey was inspired to commission the statue given Melania Trump's status as an immigrant despite her husband's hard-line stance of immigration throughout his time in office. 1420

Aldon Smith, who was the NFC's Defensive Player of the Year, has a warrant out for his arrest on Monday after a possible domestic incident from the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Smith is wanted on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, false imprisonment and vandalism, the Chronicle reported. Earlier the in the day, the Oakland Raiders released Smith. The incident in question was reportedly Saturday evening, and the victim identified Smith as the suspect. TMZ reported that Smith checked into a rehab facility on Monday. Smith has had frequent encounters with law enforcement. The Chronicle reported that Smith has three previous DUI arrests. He was also arrested in June 2012 when illegal weapons were found at his house during a party where two people were shot, and he was stabbed.  908

Amazon's cashier-free grocery store of the future is coming to San Francisco and Chicago.The company is expanding its experimental Amazon Go store to the two US cities, but did not say when they would open. It has posted job listings for store managers in the cities on its own site, which were first noticed by the Seattle Times.Amazon confirmed its plans for the two cities in a statement to CNNMoney. Earlier reports from Curbed and the San Francisco Chronicle found clues that Amazon was eying retail space in the two cities.Currently there is only one Amazon Go store: a small space located in the base of one of its Seattle skyscrapers that opened to the public in January.The store uses a collection of cameras and sensors to constantly track customers and inventory as they move around. Shoppers need to open the Amazon Go app to enter, and any products they take from the store are automatically charged to their account when they leave.There are no cashiers but there are plenty of human employees restocking shelves, checking ID for wines, and working security.Amazon is already in the grocery business. In addition to its own selection of food available for purchase online and the Amazon Fresh grocery delivery service, Amazon owns Whole Foods. It bought the upscale chain in June 2017 for .7 billion.While the Amazon Go store in Seattle doesn't bear Whole Foods' branding, it does stock plenty of the store's signature 365 brand products.  1469
