BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- China will keep its economy on a stable and healthy development track with a proactive fiscal policy and prudent monetary policy in the second half of 2018, according to a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Tuesday.
In H1, FDI in the high-tech manufacturing industry rose 25.3 percent year on year, led by investment growth in medical instruments, communications equipment, and computer and office equipment.
Xi stressed that the country's external work should be based on the overall plan of the CPC Central Committee, and should further improve its layout and highlight its priorities.
Also on Monday, Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with Mahathir, calling for more cooperation between the two countries' legislatures.
"I welcome business leaders from other BRICS and African countries to attend the Expo," Xi said.
