Video does not show officers firing weapons but shows them appearing on the scene seconds after the self-inflicted gunshot wound.However, the incident sparked rumors online that officers had shot and killed the man. Hours later, a group of protesters gathered at Nicollet Mall to call for justice.Though some in the crowd attempted to inform the others that police were not involved in the shooting, the protests nonetheless devolved into looting. MILWAUKEE — Jacob Blake is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation center, his attorney says.Blake was in Froedtert Hospital since Aug. 23, when Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey fired seven rounds into Blake's back.Blake's attorney declined to say when exactly Blake left the hospital, or how long he is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center. Blake's family said he had been paralyzed from the waist down. It appears his condition has improved somewhat, as he is now recovering in an unidentified rehabilitation center.Blake was initially handcuffed to his hospital bed after the shooting. Police said at the time that the handcuffs were necessary because Blake still had an outstanding warrant on him. After he posted bond and with the help of local lawmakers, the handcuffs were removed, and the police officers guarding his door left.Officer Sheskey has not been charged in the shooting. Sheskey's attorney says the officer believed at the time that Blake may have been trying to drive off with a woman's child.On August 23, Officers were initially called to a domestic incident. There, they attempted to arrest Blake on an outstanding warrant for third degree sexual assault charges. Blake tried to get into his car, when the officer fired his service gun into Blake's back.The shooting quickly became national news as protests erupted in Kenosha and across the U.S.After a few nights of demonstrations in Kenosha, a 17-year-old man opened fire on the crowd, hitting three people. Two people died and the third was taken to the hospital. The teen, Kyle Rittenhouse, was arrested at his home in Illinois and he is now facing extradition to Wisconsin and charges in the shooting deaths. MILWAUKEE -- Six cars were damaged Friday when light poles fell across traffic lanes on I-43 near Milwaukee.According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, the driver of a red pick-up truck heading northbound hit both of the light poles in the median just before 3:30 p.m. A witness at a law firm off Hampton Avenue said she saw the truck drive up onto the median and hit one pole, before continuing on to hit a second. "Unfortunately one of them kind of struck the side of the car, put a hole in the door, took a mirror out," said Jim Lovering, whose daughter called him after swerving to avoid the two poles.Lovering's 7-month-old grandson was also in the car. "Just missed the windshield, which was a blessing," said Lovering. The camera caught deputies taking away the driver of the red truck in handcuffs. Authorities have not yet released any information confirming an arrest, or possible charges. The accident caused backups for miles during rush hour, as crews worked to remove the poles from the roadway. No one in any of the cars was injured. "It was just nice that she had the space to maneuver and without hitting anybody else or causing any further damage," said Lovering. "It could be potentially you know a serious accident. Thank God it didn't happen."  1341

Montgomery County, Maryland police announced Thursday night that Laura Wallen was shot in the back of the head, according to autopsy findings. Tyler Tessier, Wallen's boyfriend and the father of her unborn child has been charged with her murder. He's been charged with first-degree murder. At a bond review Thursday afternoon, the judge deemed him a danger to the community and denied bond.RELATED: Missing pregnant teacher found deadWallen, who went missing last week, was a social studies teacher at Wilde Lake High School. She was four months pregnant. Police found Wallen's body buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area in Damascus.According to the Montgomery County Police Department, on Sept, 4, Wallen's sister reported Laura missing, saying that she last saw her a couple days earlier, but had not been able to contact her since. Police released on Thursday that Tessier had taken Wallen's phone and texted her sister from it.  1000
