The bus crashed about 20 miles south of Murrieta in Pala Mesa.Three females, described as Hispanic, were killed in the crash, authorities said.According to officials, a five-year-old male passenger was transported to Riverside University Health Systems Medical Center, about 50 miles north from the scene of the crash.Five other passengers were transported to Palomar Hospital, seven were transported to Temecula Valley Hospital, and five were taken to Inland Valley Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.California Highway Patrol said the bus was equipped with seat belts. (KGTV) — At least three people were killed and 18 other people were injured after a charter bus crashed and overturned on Interstate 15 Saturday.The bus was on southbound I-15 just south of State Route 76 before 10:30 a.m. The bus lost control for some reason, skidding into the dirt on the freeway's shoulder and overturning.Officers arrived to find the bus overturned with at least one passenger trapped inside still. Crews also needed to stabilize the bus to prevent it from falling down an embankment.At least three people were killed, according to North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD). One victim was found dead inside the bus, NCFPD Capt. John Choi told City News Service. Some passengers were ejected from the crash.Eighteen people were taken to Inland Valley Hospital, Palomar Medical Center, and Temecula for injuries ranging from minor to critical condition. VALLEY CENTER (KGTV)- A former North County school security guard was sentenced Thursday after he was found guilty of sending inappropriate pictures to children online. Steven Lloyd Duncan was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in December 2018. Six months later he was sentenced to four years in state prison. Duncan was found guilty of four different charges related to child pornography. According to investigators, Duncan used social media platforms like Instagram to communicate with girls ranging in age of 10 to 14 years old. Investigators say he sent photos to underage children and received photos from children. During the investigation, 600 images and 350 videos of child pornography were found on Duncan’s phone and commuter. Duncan was a security guard at Valley Center High School for 11 years but the investigation shows the acts happened after his time working for the district. 928

Most will not be gathering for the holiday and a growing number are opting out of cooking a big turkey dinner this year. Instead, many will be ordering a to-go Thanksgiving meals from one of their local restaurants.That boost is helping restaurants stay busy, much busier than they have been for months.“It feels awesome to come in and do what we do,” said Richard Poggi, a chef and managing partner at the Delaney House restaurant and event venue in Massachusetts.Poggi has spent the past week prepping turkeys after seeing a surge of to-go Thanksgiving meal orders from the restaurant and Delaney’s local markets.“Our country as a whole really, really want to do the right thing and get through this,” said Poggi. “I think people are heeding the warnings and I think people understand what’s going on."Thanks to many people not gathering for the holiday and deciding to order out a Thanksgiving meal for themselves or their immediate family, Delaney’s is on pace to more than double the amount of to-go Thanksgiving dinners it sold last year.On average, it’s getting at least 200 new Thanksgiving to-go orders a day.“We are one of those restaurants that if you came here before the pandemic, you had to wait an hour or hour and a half to get in,” said Delaney’s Owner Peter Rosskothen.Rosskothen added the to-go Thanksgiving order boost comes after the restaurant has dealt with a 75 percent drop in business.“It has been hard to find money for payroll. It is hard to dig into your own reserve when you don’t want to, but you have to, to kind of climb through this,” said Rosskothen.That burden is being relieved for a few weeks now. UNIVERSITY CITY (KGTV) - A man led police on a short vehicle pursuit, before crashing into a canyon and running away. The pursuit started just before 9 p.m. Sunday night on Genesee Avenue and Governor Drive. The man was parked in a vehicle blocking a driveway to a business, according to San Diego Police. He was running up and down the street and took off in a vehicle when police arrived. Police pursued him for about 10 minutes, before he crashed into a canyon near the end of Governor Drive and Travers Way. The man immediately got out and ran into the canyon. According to police, the driver is a Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5'8", with a shaved head, short sleeved shirt and hoodie, and gray shorts. 730
