SAN DIEGO — Advocates with the group Yes California aimed at splitting California have released a new plan that would establish the “autonomous Native American nation.”"The plan is to retrocede virtually all federally-owned properties in California back to its original occupants, the California Native Americans," part of a release reads. Earlier this year, advocates with the campaign began collecting signatures for the initiative.The proposed initiative is the third Calexit proposal since the election of President Donald Trump. Previous efforts were all either withdrawn of failed to gather enough signatures.The latest proposal asks voters about secession in 2020. Sam Nunberg's interview tour is over for now.Nunberg was booked to appear on CNN's "New Day" on Tuesday morning, but he did not show up for the interview.When an unknown person answered the phone at his home Tuesday morning, the person said Nunberg is done doing interviews.According to two sources with knowledge of the matter, ABC also pursued Nunberg for Tuesday's "Good Morning America." But the producers feared that he would bail, and sure enough, he stopped responding to messages on Tuesday morning. "He went dark," one of the sources said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A distraught man driving a van stolen in Sorrento Valley led San Diego police and the California Highway Patrol on a lengthy chase Thursday that ended in Riverside County, authorities said.San Diego Police Department Officer Scott Lockwood said the white van was stolen from the 9400 block of Scranton Road about 10:45 a.m.SDPD officers pursued the stolen vehicle through Mira Mesa, and the CHP took over the chase when the driver got onto northbound Interstate 15. The suspect, who's in his 50s, was apprehended just south of Weirick Road in Corona at 11:54 a.m., according to the CHP."The suspect was suicidal and inflicted harm to himself, possibly with a sharp-edged knife or razor," CHP Officer Javier Muniz said.Muniz said the unidentified suspect was transported by ambulance to Inland Valley Hospital for treatment. 849

SAN DEIGO (KGTV) - A family in City Heights is going to save about 90% on their electric bill thanks to the non-profit GRID Alternatives. The organization installed free solar on their roof for Mother's Day. Erika Rodriguez is a single mother of three and she told 10News she would not have been able to afford solar without the program. She'll own the panels as long as she lives at the house. If she moves, the panel stays. The construction team doing the work is a team of all women volunteers. GRID Alternatives is also hoping to get more women into solar-related jobs. Currently, women only make up 27% of solar jobs.  661
