Mattel will release it's first-ever hijab-wearing Barbie doll next year, the company announced Monday.The doll is modeled after American fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, who became the first American Olympian to compete in a traditional Muslim headscarf during the 2018 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Muhammad earned a bronze medal as part of the team competition in women's fencing.The doll will come with a full fencing uniforms, including a sabre and a mask. 463

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – A woman in Louisville, Colordao died after she was struck by a falling tree branch during Tuesday’s windstorm, a spokesperson for the police department said Wednesday, making her death the first in the state caused by the near-hurricane winds.The woman, who has not been identified, stopped to rest under a tree while she was moving into an apartment in the area of Walnut Street and Garfield Avenue at around 2 p.m.The spokesperson said that’s when a large branch broke off due to the winds and struck her in the head.She was taken to a hospital, but it’s not clear when the woman died as the police department only learned of her passing on Wednesday.The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy, but even though foul play is not suspected, detectives will be in attendance.The Boulder Daily Camera reports there were 89 mph wind gusts in Louisville, the highest recorded in Boulder County on Tuesday. 962

Marriott International says a guest reservation database has been breached and may have exposed information of approximately 500 million guests.The company says it is investigating and addressing the incident that involves the Starwood guest reservation database. They received an alert on Sept. 8 from an internal security tool regarding an attempt to access the Starwood guest reservation database. Marriott quickly called on security experts to help figure out what happened.Security experts learned there had been unauthorized access to the Starwood network since 2014. On Nov. 19, Marriott was able to decrypt the information and determined that the contents were from the Starwood guest reservation database.For approximately 327 million guests affected by the breach, the information accessed includes some combination of name, mailing address, phone number, email address, passport number, Starwood Preferred Guest account information, date of birth, gender, arrival and departure information, reservation date, and communication preferences.Marriott says they have established a dedicated call center (USA: 877-273-9481) to answer questions guests may have about the breach. MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Mexican police and military forces have arrested the leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima gang who spread violence through north-central Mexico and fought a years-long bloody turf battle with the Jalisco cartel.The armed forces and officials in the state of Guanajuato announced Sunday they had captured José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, better known by his nickname "El Marro," which means "The Sledgehammer."Yépez Ortiz was unusual among gang leaders because he posted videos with emotional calls to his followers, including one showing him appearing to cry after several of his supporters and relatives were arrested.He was caught allegedly holding a kidnap victim. 684
