SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities have identified the woman who died after being hit by an armored vehicle in La Jolla Tuesday night. The medical examiner reported that Mikaela Jones was killed after walking out in front of the armored vehicle on the 8600 block of Villa La Jolla Drive around 5 p.m. Police confirmed Tuesday night that the incident had happened on the young woman's 22nd birthday. At this time, the moments leading up to Jones' death are unclear.  505

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Congress is considering a bill that will push for more transparency in the online event ticketing industry. Included in the reforms would be a mandate that companies disclose the full cost of each ticket, including additional fees, up front.In the current environment, most ticket sites show only the cost of the ticket up front, but add the fees after the customer has begun the process of purchasing the tickets.San Diego Congressman Scott Peters is on the committee considering the bill and questioned leaders from the major ticketing companies during a congressional hearing Wednesday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities are investigating after a body was found floating in the ocean off the coast of San Diego Monday afternoon. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the body was discovered in the water approximately five miles off the coast of Mission Bay around noon. The body was found floating in the water with a life jacket nearby by a good Samaritan, the Coast Guard says. A second vest was also located in the water.
