During the talks, Xi congratulated Nazarbayev on his re-election as Kazakh president.
The Chinese president also pointed out that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of both China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The former war started earlier and lasted longer than the latter, he said.
He said issues concerning visa policy and trans-border rivers have achieved substantial progress.
China, Li said, always views China-Brazil relations from strategic and long-term perspectives, highly values Brazil's economic and social achievements, and is fully confident of the future of the bilateral relationship.
During Xi's visit, China and Russia will sign a series of cooperation accords on key programs on energy, finance, investment and infrastructure, and also set the priority for next-stage cooperation.
