China advocates that a political resolution of the Korean Peninsula issue should be promoted stage by stage with concerted efforts from all relevant parties to seek a package of solutions, Lu said.

China also calls for all relevant parties to keep the momentum of dialogue and jointly promote denuclearization and political settlement of the issue, Lu said, adding that China would like to continue to play a positive role in this regard.

China and the EU have been speeding up their negotiations for a bilateral investment agreement by holding several rounds of video talks during the pandemic. The 31st round of the negotiations was held from July 21-24 in which positive progress was made on its text and the negative list, according to China's Ministry of Commerce.
