They host elopements and tiny weddings.Couples can choose their own adventure — they can ump into a limo, vintage vehicle, or anything on wheels and head to a special spot to say “I do.” Couples can also walk to their destination if they prefer.“This is how I Do Drive Thru came to be as we realized getting married is still absolutely an essential business,” said Berlynn Holdmann, the lead officiant in Las Vegas. “It can be done within the limitations and guidelines that are being enforced with social distancing measures.”Couples can skip the cost of a venue, DJ, and catering costs. LANCASTER, Calif. – A man has been arrested for the murders of his 12-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter in Lancaster, California, which is north of Los Angeles.The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that fire personnel located the victims when they were called to the family's home to investigate a possible gas leak Friday morning.Detectives say the children both appeared to have suffered from lacerations and stab wounds.The mayor of Lancaster, Rex Parris, confirmed to KABC and the L.A. Times that the children were both found decapitated. He told the newspaper that “it was pretty brutal.”Officials tell the L.A. Times that the victims were found in separate bedrooms in the home and it’s unclear how long they had been dead.At the home, the sheriff’s department says there were also two adults and two other children who were questioned by homicide investigators. The L.A. Times identified the two adults as the victims’ parents.The children's father, Maurice Taylor Sr., was later arrested on murder charges and booked into jail, where he’s being held with a million bail.The L.A. Times reports the suspect is a personal trainer who acquaintances described as being “mellow” and “reliable.”Detectives say they’re continuing to investigate the murders. LANCASTER, Calif. — A 37-year-old man who was being treated for COVID-19 is accused of killing his 82-year-old hospital roommate while the elderly man was praying.Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department say the younger man, identified as Jesse Martinez, is facing charges of murder with a hate crime enhancement and elder abuse.Martinez and the 82-year-old victim were housed in a two-person room together at Antelope Valley Hospital on December 17 when the attack happened. Both were receiving treatment for COVID-19 symptoms.“The suspect became upset when the victim started to pray. He then struck the victim with an oxygen tank,” reads a statement from the sheriff’s department.The older man died from his injuries the next day. Investigators say the two men did not know each other.Martinez is scheduled to appear in court at the end of the month. 883
