HUDSON, Ohio — A Hudson woman who hosted a large house party at a rental home in October was convicted in Municipal Court Tuesday for violating state health orders to prevent the spread of coronavirus.The woman was convicted of violations prohibited and criminal damaging, both second-degree misdemeanors, according to court records.On Oct. 10, the woman used a website to rent a home in the 6800 block of Windsor Road in Hudson, according to court records. More than 150 people attended the party, in excess of the number of people allowed by the mass gatherings order that limits groups to no more than 10 people.Attendees caused more than ,500 in damage to the property, according to court records.The Akron Beacon Journal reported that on the night of the party, police were called to the scene and multiple vehicles were towed throughout the night. This Sunday’s ACM Awards will pay tribute to three of the biggest hit songs from 1993 with collaborations between the original artist’s and their contemporary counterparts.Arguably the most anticipated performance of the entire show will pair two Oklahoma natives together. Toby Keith will perform his debut single “Should Have Been a Cowboy” with People’s current Sexiest Man Alive, Blake Shelton.The two performers share more than a common birthplace. They’re also linked in country music history.Blake Shelton’s debut single was nearly “I Wanna Talk About Me”. After recording it, his record label decided to pass on the song, and instead, Toby Keith scooped it up and turned it into a number one hit record.The ACMs will also feature a performance of the CMA Song of the Year, “Chattahoochee”. Alan Jackson will be joined by Jon Pardi, who’s nominated for Album of the Year.Back in 2015, the duo toured together with Pardi acting as Jackson’s opener. If you are going to steal someone's identity, choosing one of the most popular cartoon characters in the world is probably the worst identity to steal. For one English police officer, she was not fooled by the fake "Homer Simpson" driver's license. According to the Thames Valley Police, a man being pulled over in Milton Keynes, England handed an officer a driver license with "The Simpsons'" patriarch. The fake ID did not even have Simpson's correct address. The ID's address said 28 Springfield Way, but fans of "The Simpsons" would know that the family lives at 742 Evergreen Terrace. Thames Valley Police said that the driver's car was seized and the driver was reported for driving without insurance and driving without a proper license.  798

In breaking with his administration's top expert on infectious disease, President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he believes that the U.S. is "in a good place" in the COVID-19 pandemic, according to CBS News and CNN.Trump reportedly made the comments in an interview with Greta Van Susteren, the chief political analyst for Gray Television."We've done a good job," Trump said. "I think we are going to be in two, three, four weeks, by the time we next speak, I think we're going to be in very good shape."Trump's comments came a week after Fauci, while testifying at a Senate hearing, called the current trend of rising cases "disturbing" and said he was concerned that some states were "skipping steps" on the process to reopening. In that same hearing, Fauci warned that confirmed cases of COVID-19 could rise to as many as 100,000 a day if current trends continued."Well, I think we are in a good place. I disagree with him," Trump said. "Dr. Fauci said don't wear masks and now he says wear them. And he said numerous things. Don't close off China. Don't ban China. I did it anyway. I didn't listen to my experts and I banned China. We would have been in much worse shape."On Tuesday — the same day Trump delivered those comments — 60,000 new cases of the coronavirus, a new daily record, were reported across the country, according to a Johns Hopkins database. Also on Tuesday, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington reported that hospital resource use throughout the U.S. was on the rise.Fauci and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did initially advise against the use of masks when cases began to rise in the U.S. At the time, health officials were concerned that asking the general public to wear masks would decimate an already-depleted stockpile of personal protective equipment. But since early April, health officials have universally advocated for the use of masks for most in situations where social distancing could be difficult."We have to admit it, that that mixed message in the beginning, even though it was well-meant to allow masks to be available for health workers, that was detrimental in getting the message across," Fauci said in an interview with NPR earlier this month.
