(KGTV) - Trains passing through southern Orange County were delayed Monday night causing headaches for thousands of travelers.According to Amtrak, a train became stalled on the track between Oceanside and San Clemente “due to mechanical issues.”The Metrolink Twitter account said train 609 that was disabled.The Pacific Surfliner Twitter account said train 583 was also having mechanical issues. The delays resulted in the cancellation of train 590.Metrolink wrote on Twitter that they canceled OC Line 603 to LA Union Station Tuesday morning because of the issues with train 609.Metrolink offered busses from Laguna Niguel down to Oceanside, but one traveler who was stranded at the San Juan Capistrano station told 10News that Amtrak did not offer any busses to complete the trip. Ohio State University found itself mired in another scandal when the school placed its revered head football coach Urban Meyer on paid leave this week after a longtime assistant coach was fired amid spousal abuse allegations.The school is investigating what Meyer knew about the alleged abuse by former wide receivers coach Zach Smith, who was terminated on July 23, days after he was served with a protection order involving his ex-wife, Courtney Smith.She told the Stadium sports network that her ex-husband had abused her, starting in 2009. Meyer's wife, Shelley, was made aware of the allegations, and said she would speak to her husband, Courtney Smith told the network. But Smith did not follow up to see whether Urban Meyer had been told. On Election Day, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden began his Tuesday off the campaign trail to spend time with his family.Biden and his wife Jill first attended St. Joseph on the Brandywine in Wilmington, Delaware, for a Tuesday morning mass.While there, the couple stopped at son Beau Biden's grave, USA Today reported.Beau died of brain cancer in 2015.Beau is buried next to his late mother Neilia, and infant sister, Naomi, who both died in a car crash in 1972, shortly after Biden was elected senator, Yahoo reported.The former vice president has spoken about his late son often throughout his campaign.
