Times Square was a hive of activity Tuesday afternoon, as more than 40,000 bees swarmed a hot dog stand at the corner of Broadway and West 43rd Street.Known as an absconded hive, the bees were looking for a new home to escape the sweltering heat, said Officer Darren Mays, one of the New York Police Department's two official beekeepers."The hive got overcrowded because it was hot and humid and they just needed a new place to go so they can keep cool," Mays said. TIJUANA (KGTV) -- Mexico's president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, spoke at a unity rally on Saturday evening, just hours after coming to an agreement with the U.S. avoiding tariffs on Mexican goods. The deal was announced Friday night. In his speech, Lopez Obrador said Mexico is open to collaboration. In his speech to a crowd of thousands, the president said the tariffs would have impacted both economies. The agreement means Mexico will send 6,000 troops to its southern border with Guatemala to help control migration and vowing to crack down on human trafficking and smuggling networks. Obrador's visit to Tijuana created tensions among Mexicans who have conflicting opinions about the deal. Three explosions that occurred when people picked up packages outside their residences appear to be connected, Austin, Texas, city Police Chief Brian Manley said Monday at a news conference.A Monday morning explosion killed a 17-year-old African-American boy and also injured a woman at the house. A second Monday explosion left a 75-year-old woman in critical condition, the chief said. A March 2 blast killed a 39-year-old African-American man.All the explosions occurred when people who lived at the residences went outside and picked up packages, Manley said. The packages were not delivered by the postal service or delivery services like UPS or FedEx, he said."The evidence makes us believe these incidents are related," he said, saying investigators have not come up with a motive or whether anybody has claimed responsibility. It's not known if the victims knew each other or if they were targeted, he said.Police also have not decided if these are hate crimes, but said that's a real possibility of the victims' races."We're not ruling anything out at this point," he said.
