Citigroup has terminated a manager following an investigation into his role operating a prominent website dedicated to QAnon conspiracy theory, according to Bloomberg.Jason Gelinas was placed on paid leave in mid-September after he was identified by Logically.ai as the operator of QMap.pub and it’s affiliated apps.“Mr. Gelinas is no longer employed by Citi,” the company said in a statement to Bloomberg. “Our code of conduct includes specific policies that employees are required to adhere to, and when breaches are identified, the firm takes action.”Gelinas was a manager in Citigroup;s technology department. The company says employees have to disclose outside business activity where they receive compensation.Gelinas was reportedly earning about ,000 a month from a crowdfunding site supporting the QAnon site he ran. He says the money helped cover the monthly operating costs.QMap once drew a reported 10 million visitors a month over the summer. Once Gelinas was identified, the site was taken down.QAnon began a few years ago as a single conspiracy theory. Experts warn that the holidays bring a lot of hidden dangers for children, especially with everyone spending more time at home.In her 20 years at CHOC, a pediatric healthcare system in Orange County, California, Amy Frias has made it her mission to keep kids out of the hospital. She wears a lot of hats, helping families with everything from CPR courses to car seats and helmet safety.“Injuries are the leading cause of death and serious injury for children under 14,” Frias said. "It's all about prevention it's all about setting people up so that kids aren’t seriously injured or hurt.” This holiday season Frias says, we all need all the joy and happiness we can get. She advises caution about seasonal decor, especially if you've got young kids.“Things like keeping breakable ornaments up high on your tree, or maybe not having any breakable ornaments on your tree, and making sure that none of your lights are frayed and everything is in good working condition,” Frias said. She said to make sure you're considering age-appropriate gifts, be wary of toys with button cell batteries, and make sure kids can't access those compartments. She also warns that people need to be mindful of holiday plants, and stockings, which can pose a problem.“Mistletoe or holly berry those are two items that are extremely poisonous," Frias said. “Hang your stockings from your fireplace, but if you use your fireplace, remove the stockings from your fireplace before you use it." COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- "Tonight, it feels like our tears will never stop and the lump in our throats is (too) big to breathe through," Todd Allen wrote Thursday evening.His son, 2-year-old Brody, became the center of a community-wide September Christmas celebration in their small community just outside of Cincinnati after the Allen family revealed the toddler likely would not survive until Dec. 25. According to Allen, doctors now predict he may not survive until Halloween."There is no easy way to say this but Brody's body is failing him," Allen wrote in the Team Brody Facebook group. "We have been told that Brody may have only days left with us. Our hearts are absolutely broken."Brody was born with a rare brain cancer, the symptoms of which did not emerge until he had developed four serious tumors. After 98 days of treatment, there were five, and doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital said they could no longer help. At that time, they predicted he would live no longer than Oct. 5.The family took Brody home and redecorated their house for Christmas, hoping to at least make his last months happy and comfortable. Todd Allen took time off from his job as an over-the-road trucker. When neighbors learned about the out-of-season celebration, they decorated their own homes, sent cards to the family and even held a Christmas parade Sept. 23.Memories of that kindness have helped the family cope with Thursday's news, Allen wrote. As they have in the past, they plan to "trust that God has a plan," keep Brody comfortable and remain grateful for the support of everyone who joins them on their journey."Brody is here," Allen wrote.
