NEW YORK CITY — Two U.S. marshals and a New York City police officer were injured in a shootout in the Bronx early Friday that left one suspect dead and another injured, law enforcement sources say.The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said a report came in at around 5:30 a.m. ET about a shooting on Ely Avenue, near Edenwald Avenue in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx.Aerial footage shows a large police presence in the area, including three ambulances.One marshal was shot in the arm and thigh and the second was shot in the leg, according to police. The NYPD detective injured his leg during the incident.The three law enforcement officials were transported to local hospitals for treatment, along with a suspect who sustained injuries to his head. It's not known if the suspect was suffering from gunshot wounds.Previous reporting indicated that the three law enforcement officers injured were all U.S. marshals.According to WHDH-TV in Boston, the suspect who was killed in the shootout is Andre K. Sterling, 35. He was wanted in connection with the shooting of a Massachusetts state trooper on Nov. 20. The state trooper survived that shooting, but Sterling escaped the scene. 1200

A lot is at stake,” he adds.Election stress - according to the American Psychological Association, it’s affecting more than 50% of Americans.Gabrielle Harrell felt the pressure at the polls Wednesday.“It’s been very stressful. As I was filling out the ballot, I was triple-checking to make sure I’m checking the right box,” Harrell said.Roftus says people are already stressed with the coronavirus.“We’ve never had an election where we are told is the most important election ever in the middle of a pandemic,” he adds.As we get closer to November 3, Roftus says politics comes up in his counseling sessions.“Inadvertently or directly because it's bothering them, people are bringing up the election all the time,” he adds.Roftus says the additional voting options are affecting stress levels.“Sometimes some people are uncertain as to where they should vote, whether they should vote by mail, is their ballot going to be accepted?"For people who want to get rid of some of that election stress, voting early is an option.Roftus says it gives some people some comfort and relief. New Orleans city officials have set a tentative date to remove the bodies of two workers that have been trapped inside a partially-collapsed construction site since October.The efforts to recover the bodies of the workers trapped in the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel construction site could begin as early as July 13, according to NOLA.com.A spokesman for the city said in a press briefing on Tuesday that crews have finished taking down three buildings that surround the hotel and are currently assembling cranes to work on the building itself.Crews could begin working on the hotel by Monday, and officials say it could take four to five days before rescuers can remove the remains of the two workers.The two workers were killed in a partial collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel construction site in downtown New Orleans on Oct. 12.
