(KGTV) -- The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department identified the scuba diver found dead nine miles off the coast of Long Beach on the ocean floor as Henry Cook, 55, of La Jolla.Cook was scuba diving near an oil platform Saturday afternoon with another diver when something went wrong.Deputies got a "diver in distress" call 12:30 p.m. Saturday near oil platform Elly.A Los Angeles Sheriff’s helicopter responded and hoisted a scuba diver out of a Lifeguard boat, then flew the diver to Catalina Island and was treated in a hyperbaric chamber.Sunday, searchers returned to the area with a remote-controlled underwater robot and located Cook’s body on the ocean floor 200-feet down.Los Angeles County is conducting an autopsy to determine how Cook died. 780
