SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a woman suspected of shooting a woman in the Southcrest area Monday morning.San Diego police said officers were called to the 900 block of South 39th Street just after 7 a.m. in response to a person injured in a shooting.Officers arrived to find a woman with a gunshot wound to her chest. She was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, but her condition is unknown as of 10 a.m.Witnesses told police the suspected shooter, a woman, fled the scene in a silver sedan.Moments after the shooting, the California Highway Patrol received a report of a crash on Interstate 805 near state Route 54 involving the vehicle believed to be driven by the suspected shooter.CHP officials believes the suspected shooter may have been injured in the crash but left the scene.Police are checking to see if the woman sought treatment at any area hospitals. 889

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene of a deadly shooting near the Linda Vista Recreation Center on Sunday.San Diego Police say that officers were called to the area near 7000 Levant Street in Linda Vista just after 11 a.m. over reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they found one man who had been shot in the upper body. Officer provided first aid to the man until San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel arrived. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified but his identity was not released. He is described as a 27-year-old Hispanic man from San Diego.While officers were at the hospital, a second man arrived with an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He said that he had also been injured outside of the same recreation center. The second victim has also been identified but his name was not released. He is described as a 30-year-old man from San Diego.Police said witnesses reported seeing a man, possibly Hispanic, wearing a mask and shorts, running from the scene. He was seen getting into a small, white four-door vehicle that was last seen driving southbound on Linda Vista Road.Officers said the two victims appeared to have been near the handball courts at the recreation center when they were injured. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police have released photos of the man accused of badly beating a Pacific Beach bouncer Sunday night. According to police, four men tried to enter through the side door of a restaurant on the 700 block of Grand Avenue around 9:20 p.m. Sunday when a bouncer told the group they had to use the main entrance. As a confrontation escalated, police say one of the men picked up a metal crowd barrier pole, hitting the bouncer in his head. Others in the group then reportedly started fighting with other bouncers at the restaurant before all four men left, according to police. The bouncer who was hit in the head suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Another bouncer suffered a broken nose and two other staff members suffered some bumps and bruises. The man suspected of swinging the pole was described as black, in his 30s, 6 feet tall, and 250 pounds with a muscular build.
